Brown and black boots? The most probable explanation is "Grab a pair of boots outta the box that fit, and be on Stage 9 by 7am. NEXT!"

Yep, thats how it works...

I only have to ask now if there will be any changings in the costume standards?
Maybe that both boot colours can be used for generic alliance officers?

That would be reasonable for a "rebel alliance" - wear a generic uniform, but don´t waste time in the details. Add some rank bars - ready for action!

That´s how rebels work! Evil or Very Mad

Bad news!
I tried to find some suitable tan fabric here...nothing!
And I don´t want to order fabric in the net - I have to touch it first, then I know if it works for me!
Quest ongoing...

At least I started to make the commplate and the ranks for my officer costume.
All is made from plastic sheets, with nails on the back for fixing it on the uniforms fabric together with some pin locking deveices.
The ranks need some more details and sanding, the commplate should be ready for painting...

Pilots commpad also waits for painting and is shown for size comparison.

Finally and thanks to the force I found some suitable fabric.
Together with my (costumebase) RFT shirt the colour looks very good to me:

The gray colour of my comm-plate version 1 seems to be too light, and I´m not really satisfied with the overall look.

So a (darker and modified) version 2 will follow...
Pilot commpad is in the wrong thread here...

I made a tutorial for the Crix Madine jacket at Endor Bunker...

it is here..

http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/wKpUT8j08C2lNtQukOj7byI6HUCfhOUXttJ1uN-n-4aFj4fyzCzDQNiIy09tOuSs5pJEcoFAjpq0Esoxy6KtYw/Crix%20Madine%20Tutorial2.pdf

I have done two of the jackets
one in a tan woolcrepe fabric
and one in khaki tan "Trigger" fabric..

In one case the member took the jacket and went to find pants that matched...he did a good job and the pants are only a slight bit off..

Sewing update...

I hate those "sleeves"! I made 2 versions now, and both look awfully as they "stand off" completely from the shoulders...
Also the costume has no real pockets (as I wanted to sew the pants for myself, too. And I don´t dare to sew pant pockets...)!

Hmm, thinking of alternatives...finish this or start an Antilles style?

Does someone have an idea how to make black riding boots brown?
