This is what I am shooting for.

Started with 10'' Sono tubes and airduct elbows.
I started fiberglassing the corners. (pics when done)

Are you fiberglassiing just the top half and then peel it off and use the shell? I wonder if scupting the doorway out of foam and then fiberglassing it would be lighter. Very cool but complicated set. Keep the pics coming.

Anything new on that project?
This would be one of my favorite props, too....

That's way cool! The Tantive IV is easily my favorite set in all of Star Wars. I would love to get some costumed pictures in a set like that!

The wall is looking great!

Is it possible to give some building instructions/ WIP pics for the wall?
What material was used, sizes, prizes, ....

Great work!

I'll start another thread in a bit.

it got put on hold due to the increasing cost of the project. We are hoping to come up with a solution that doesnt involve robbing a bank.

Do you have a build thread for the Wall Jase?

Feel free to split this thread if it helps...not a build thread as such, as most of the pieces were prebuilt by a company called Weird and Wonderful (they dont exist now). They managed and ran a lot of the events like the Jedi training school at LFL Celebration Europe and also made the Dagobah swamp recreation there too. On the days of the event they ran photo and video shoots on the set with the public dressed up as RFTs. The RL members who were RFTs from all across Europe helped recreate the opening scenes from ANH and the funny thing was that we had movie accurate costumes - and they didnt! Razz

Here's some pics of the wall anyway, its been extended and spare panels that we had managed to reclaim (from the waste bins!), we painted MDF panels and attached the panels to them. Perhaps not as high a quality build as theirs, but you'll probably agree that its difficult to see the difference, aside from the areas where W&W had electronics fitted to the rear of the panels (flashing lights, etc - which we dont run at the moment).

In action as it was originally at CE

'The Door' as it was for a reference pic (someone else got the door, we just got the wall....

The UK Wall

A more recent pic...
