Hi fellow Wookies, I have spoke to Darkside on the RPF about ammo boxes and here is his reply...
Quote:
at least 5-6 persons are needed

i made a little lose on the last boxes so the price will change a bit on them too.

so if you have them i will make the new run.
the price will be 140$ plus shipping.

I am for sure in for this run, all we need are a few more Wookies to get in on this.

Please reply here if you need them and we can get him to make them for us.

These are also good for Imperial Officers and such as well.

Highly recommended. I have a set from his last run and they are perfect. Also very light weight.

Remember that Darkside only sells the large boxes. The small boxes have been identified and are still produced by the original manufacturer.

I would be very interested in a set of the large boxes if he does a run.

Thanks for getting this together.

I too missed this run but thought I would do my own run of these, just need pics and dimensions. I am a Machinist for an aerospace company and thought I'd give it a try.

When I bought my bandolier Mel told me she was working with someone on an accurate sculpt so she could produce resin boxes. You might want to check with her to see if she has the dimensions for you.

If you do make a metal version of the large boxes I would be interested. I purchased the small boxes from a website provided in the pages here it would be nice to have a set that matches them.

I just finished up bending the two panels which will be riveted tomorrow. I used the correct dimensions given on the RPF. I used .030 6061 aluminum and they look awesome. I am going to pre order bulk material soon and get these going asap.

Here are some pics......My buddy Craig helped with the 90 degree bends on the brake as we don't have one at the shop.

Didn't get a chance to put rivets in yet but you get the idea.

I stumbled across this site, not sure if people have ordered from these guys yet but as far as the small boxes go, I really like the "Clone" part to the hammond.

It's $2.75 cheaper each and they'd certainly work. What do you guys think?

I listed a run thread of the big boxes on the RPF but I think I will take it down. Darkside was selling his there first and I don't want to step on anyones toes. I will say this though, mine will be about $100 for a set of ten and the shipping is included (in the US of course) Surprised
