Not sure how you guys feel about it, but this situation with Obi1kenny (Ken Tarleton) has me thinking alot these days. If I did not call him out on his costume he would continue with his ways. I wonder when the last time he trooped in his costume.

It kind of make me wonder why he is in the RL... unless this is just a place to sell things.

I beleive I did the right thing by reporting him to the LMO and COG. Detachments are meant for people with formal costumes and members of the RL... no people who are here to sell and buy things. Maybe its my issue, I tend to see the owrst in people at times.

at least he's not asking to by a costume Wink I replied to a thread in the jedi section where a new forum member was asking to buy a luke ROTJ set. I basically said "we're not a costume store, thats not what we do". and "if you want to make one yourself.. you'll find lots of help.. that IS what we do."

I agree the detachments are meant for people who have already figured this out: RL members with formal costumes. there's a reason that the detachment areas are not open to the general public. we're not here to sell stuff. (although we sometimes do) that's not our primary function.

I do think that what you did was correct. We have all worked hard to maintain a Formal status and the rules are the rules.

I am completely behind you on this one.
