The name is walking a fine line but hey, the national anthem used to be a drinking song too. It is all in the delivery. It is a package deal. I cannot definitely approve the name until the logo is there too. You are not required to have a logo in order to form a temple, but given the concerns outlined above i would not approve the name because of its anti jedi origins. However with the softening effect of a logo that emphasizes peace, knowledge, serenity then i could see it. The bottom line here is good for you or forming a temple. If you get some logo ideas together it is possible that i or someone else could help with the artistic side.

I have no problems with re-doing the logo. I just wanted to make sure that we could keep the name, especially since I re-searched the other temples and there is at least one that has a name that isn't exactly "jedi friendly or appropriate".

We will re-do the logo to make it more appealing and re-submit. Thanks!

Charles you hit it right on the bulleye. Base Detachments are the means for the local members of a specific costume to get to know one another, share ideas, and plan builds or assist in WIP.

After much thought, and to make it easier to get this temple approved, I figure it is best if we vote on a new name. This will allow us to make a logo that would work well.

I will post up a poll for us to vote on name suggestions.

I have a list of suggested name. PM me if you have a name to add to the list. Thanks.

My 3 picks are:
Temple of Ashla
Corvidae Temple
Tridens Temple

Constellation Temple would be funny, but only because it would confuse the Trekies/Trekers out there. Would be funny to have a patch with the Enterprise though!

My Top 3:

Temple Callinectes
Temple Corvidae
Temple Terra Rubra

Any of them would be nice, though. I would have also been happy with Rudbeck Temple (Rudbeckia Hirta, the Black-Eyed Susan), or Temple Euphydrya (Euphydryas Phaeton, the Baltimore Checkerspot Buttyerfly).

Shall we have a vote, or go with Corvidae (since this seems to be the one name that everyone liked)?
