I just need to take pictures of my suit with the improvements I made to see if it's finally approved. I hope to get this done before the end of the month.

My Rodian mask is being repainted, and I have some "extended finger length" gloves on the way too.

Soon. Soooooon...

After some computer/internet issues, I finally got this submitted last night.

I actually can't blouse the legs on the flightsuit over those boots, my legs are just too long and the boots aren't quite high enough to leave enough fabric. Confused

I did however acquire new boots, which of course arrived on my doorstep about an hour after I left for the event I took the new pics at... Rolling Eyes naturally. :-)

You gotta go like this to the next Celebration!!!!!!!!

PostPosted: Sat Aug 20, 2011 2:24 am    Post subject: pepakura helmets! Reply with quote

Greetings pilots from other races, as you know I've been working with a friend designer to make the Pepakura model of the helmet of A wing pilot, the work paid off and he's pretty excited with the results, work he did with me was more challenging, but he sees potential in this.

So he asked me to poll the interest of others in other Pepakura models, twilek pilot Helmet and, Sullustan pilot helmet. These would be pay models but believe me it's worth the price. Depending of the interest on ite he began the modeling to publish it.

Other samples of his work here:

I must admit, I'd probably be interested in the Twi'lek helmet as well. Depending on the price, of course.

Hmmmm.... that does look very appealing..... I'd be interested in knowing more details. Smile

Here's my question:

I'm nearly done with my (human) X-wing and will be submitting soon. chickpilot As you can see from my signature, I am also working on a blue Twi'lek Jedi.

Trouble is, I need to do a lot of sewing for this, and time has not been my friend lately. But the lekku (from Pam) are already painted, I have all of my makeup supplies, and it occurs to me that I could easily put together a Twi'lek pilot before I finish the Twi'lek Jedi.

I would only need to do an appropriate head wrap.

Of course we have the Doc Eiress style and I've seen a few of the men's styles here and at Pam's Twi'lek Celebration.

Are there any standards (or even guidelines or no-no's) for Twi'lek pilot head wraps, so that I could have my best chance of getting a formal rating?

Thanks! Smile

No standards as of yet other than "seen in LFL materials". For the pilot version though, I'd really recommend the Doc Eiress style as it looks as if it's loosely based on the snowspeeder baklava.
