Awesome work!
I gotta try this on my boots, too (have the same Anakin boots at home). _________________ I'm a German boy. I can say Tschüss.

I can only agree with Phyllis on this. Its always appreciated if someone shares his knowledge.
About your tips with the weathering, it worked fabulous:
This is the result of my attempt with it. I can't wait to make pictures with the rest of the costume! _________________ I'm a German boy. I can say Tschüss.

Thanks for this fantastic post!
I just bought some cheap, generic "pleather" boots:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0021290YM/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
I have been adding modifications to them, so they look like a hybrid Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon boot.... and this tutorial will help them to look so much better! I'll post pics when they are done.
(BTW, I had originally ordered a pair of Qui-Gon boots from "Star Fortress", and when they arrived, they were GARBAGE. And when I tried to email them to complain and request a refund, they have not returned any e-mails. So, word to the wise...) |

Using this awesome technique, I "antiqued" my boots:
They turned out very nice, indeed... not bad for a cheap, pleather boot. |

I also used this technique - in fact I followed the write-up to the letter and my boots look so good I wear them to work!
A couple of people even commented on my new "expensive" boots.
This was a great tutorial and helped me alot!
Thanks! |
