Later this summer, I will finish a version for Ibtisam. Calamari X-winger from rogue squadron. I see no evidence this has been done or tried. I have already casted a head for it, just need to finish detail on the painting...and then find an x-winger to wear it...Should be one of a kind. The blue/green calamari is going to look killer I think. Trying to talk the girls here in Kash base to try it out.

AWESOME! My dreams of one day getting a Rogue Squadron group together comes closer to fruition.

Eyes are really well done. Nice job!
But the belt is wrong. Both endparts should be like on this picture: (more reference pics on my profile)

Well...I do not know so much that they are "wrong" as much as not as I left off the components until I can make thicker boxes on the side. These were a bit on the thin side. I did not want to waste good components on them.

Later this spring I will be rebuilding them to be about twice the thickness and then I will add the pieces to them and router out that slot in the back. For now, they are fine. Just did not want to put any more time to something temp.

Seems like most of the builds do not even address the side boxes. So...it'll do for now.

thanks for the input. good catch.

No.
There are a couple of other parts i want to dial in before ever getting to that point.

I want to mold new hands next. Most of my last troop, I ended up fussing with them a lot and hard to get dressed on my own. Use of hands in costume is kinda nil unless you cut a slot in the wrist. Which I kinda refuse to do.

These work, but kinda small for me. I will construct something this summer with longer fingers and broader forearms to balance the piece. I would like to have them go over my elbow as well as have more freedom of movement and functional. My hands now are useless.

I plan on doing them in silicone with an inner structure for reducing distortion and buckling. It will be a bit complex, but worth it in the end.

Congrats on being accepted. The outfit looks great. You did superb work on the mask.
The best Ackbar in the RL in my opinion. But, seeing as we're both in the Kashyyyk base, maybe I'm a little biased. Wink

TK boots you are using... I got word those are not acceptable and went with white leather greyish bottom color shoes. If you take a look of famous Sydney pics, there can be seen Ackbar shoes are not black & white coloured.

Sorry this delay. I got them as special order from promena.fi. THis is upgraded 8000-series. I'm afraid they do not ship outside Finland.

Thanks Snack,

I will just see if I can paint the white on them. May not look so hot on the bottoms, but should look fine. Couple coats of Kilz may just do the trick. Better than nothing.
