Does anyone know where I can get a soundboard for my rebel pilot costume. I have a few friends that have soundboards hooked up to their Trooper armor and I was thinking it would be great to add one to my X-Wing pilot.

Anyone know where I can get one or an ideas they may have to make one.

Thanks
James

I don't think there's a pre made one out yet. There are a few threads on here about chestbox switches and comm pads that might help but that's about it.

Well James... when you do get an mp3 with mixed radio chatter, from the
xwing games... xwing vs tie... xwing alliance and the movies. Lets share
it around! There are excellent stormie and clone trooper mp3s out there for
the troops to play on ipods and mini speakers etc. This would be a great
thing to have for pilots too. We have a lot of cargo pockets so it should be
easy as heck to do once someone strings the mp3 together.

After a few bounces from Apple, this should finally be ready shortly... that's me in the video with my hippy hair Mr. Green http://www.compadapp.com/

I used the commpad to great effect at ECCC last weekend. If we needed to clear a path, I would blast the TIE or X-wing guns and people would move. Walking 20 feet in front of Vader and TKs while hitting the "imperial troops have entered the base, Imperial troops have entered the........" , was a big hit too.

If you want an MP3 player that can play specific files on demand, this is what you want:

http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/interactive/a5bf/

You need to replace the speaker with a better one. If you can find the right one that doesn't distort, it can be pretty loud all by itself without the need for an external amplifier.

I can't help you with the sounds though.

I just have an MP3 player with a small but loud speaker playing MP3s on a loop while I am trooping (take off sounds, chatter, etc). Too be honest, I couldnt be bothered thinking of which button to push at what time and by the time I had thought, the moment would be lost.

Nice idea though, probably more suited to our Imperial brethren though.
