I like it but I'm not an expert on this costume so I can't offer advice but looks great to me

The pants pockets seem to sit a little high, but I'm not sure if it'd be possible to drop them down a little now. It's looking pretty good overall though Very Happy

edit- the buckle on the leg, should be a snap too Wink

I'm going to see about getting the jacket taken in a bit around the waist especially.
The waist is a touch big as well so if I can get that sinched up, I can wear the belt a bit higher which will hopefully fix the high pocket look.

Once I get things all evened out, what are some weathering techniques (besides rolling on the ground - although we have some snow on the ground so I could get some good natural dirt and such) that will help complete the ensemble??

I weathered mine with rocks from outside, dirt, grass stains & graphite powder rubbed in.

yes, that's right...you might also look at maybe using shoulder pads too, like myself, you don't have massive broad shoulders & I should've used them in mine. That might help it sit better too Wink

Getting the waist of the pants taken in a bit and the waist of the jacket taken in a bunch. Will see what it looks like then before trying the shoulder pads.

I think getting the jacket fitted will help. Luke's torso fit fairly snug. In the movie you'll see the jacket lift up quite a bit when he raises his arms. Luke's shoulders were pretty square, but I'm not sure the best way to accomplish that in your jacket. The pant pockets look too high. The pants also seem baggy at the hips. You'll want them tight in the hips and loose at the knees. Once you have a good fitting you'll make a good Bespin Luke. For now, it's a little more like Bespin Luke's pajamas. Wink Well done with the belt buckle! I see too many Bespin Luke's with rectangle buckles, or rectangle ones with far too small of small corners cut off.
Master Skywalker is right about the holster strap. Luke's had snaps with one single button head. Technically, Luke had two open snaps showing. I'll email you a great pick that shows that.

Weathering is totally optional. Some of the best promotional shots were a completely clean Bespin Luke, as well as Mark Hamill's Muppet Show appearance where the Muppets kept asking about his tailor. LOL.

Got the pants fitted better at the waist and the jacket waist taken in a good amount.

Still need to fix the snap on the leg strap (and get my saber back from the trooper I let borrow it). I have an airsoft mauser coming as well as a set of conversion parts from Jedi Mickey to make an upgraded blaster.

mine outfit was baggy too at first.

--> I put the pants on inside-out, pinned off excess fabric along the sides of the legs, and then stitched along the line of pins.. that way I would take in the whole leg instead of just the waist.
-->did the same to the jacket. (removed the waistband first). pinched off 4 inches from around the torso. also cut 3-4 inches off the length, (then replaced the waistband).
