“The Red Robin Accord”

Attending representatives:
Heidi Van Camp, Mos Eisley Base CO
Joel Cranson, Mos Eisley Base XO
Lance Dworshak, Mandalorian Shonare Vhekedla Clan Alor’ad, a.k.a the Arizona Clan of the Mandalorian Mercs.
Jen LaFortune, Dune Sea Garrison CO
Steve Lentz, Dune Sea Garrison XO

Intent:

The three Lucasfilm Ltd.-approved Star Wars costuming groups in Arizona desire to maintain a positive and friendly interactive working relationship, and seek to work together to provide all members with the best possible costuming experience. To achieve these aims, the three clubs have agreed to a policy statement to cover cross-club formal costuming events.

Statement:

Groups contact the Rebel Legion, the Dune Sea Garrison, and/or the Arizona clan of the Mandalorian Mercs to secure screen-quality Star Wars costumes for their event. Each of the three groups involved prides itself on consistently providing that level of quality.

In order to assure consistent costume quality at all formal events, the following policy is hereby implemented:

In cases where the Mos Eisley Base, the Dune Sea Garrison, and/or the Arizona Clan of the Mandalorian Mercs (to include situations where two of the groups are involved, or all three) are trooping a joint event, the standard shall be that all participating costumers must appear in a costume that is approved *and* accepted by the formal standards of one of the participating groups. The decision whether to allow Rebel Legion Non-Canon costumes in each circumstance will be left to the MEB Event Organizer. To clarify, if the MEB, the DSG, and the Arizona Mercs troop an event together, all costumers at the event must appear in a costume that is approved *and* accepted by the formal canon (and occasionally RL Non-Canon, where appropriate) standards of the Rebel Legion, or the 501st Legion, or the Mandalorian Mercs.

In cases where two of the three clubs are involved, Leadership requires that members attend said event in a costume from one of the two clubs involved. When a member desires to wear a costume outside of the scope of one of the two clubs, *prior* permission from the event organizer to wear said costume is required. For example, if the MEB and the DSG have a joint event, members should not travel to the event and expect to be allowed to costume as a Mandalorian. All members will be expected to troop in approved Rebel Legion or 501st Legion costumes.

Where a variety of costumes from the Star Wars universe are requested, all three clubs will contact each other through official channels to request the appropriate support.

This policy will not cover less-formal costuming events, such as Comic Conventions, informal parades, and the like.

Leadership in the Mos Eisley Base, the Dune Sea Garrison, and the Arizona Clan of the Mandalorian Mercs expect that our members will respect these requests.

I just wanted to give this a bump for new members to review. We do our best to list whether or not an event is official or non official, but it is responsibility of members to make their costume choices on their own.

In a nutshell:

*Official Canon - Generally Lucasfilm events only, costume must be approved Canon.

*Official Non-Canon - All other official RL private events, approved canon and non-canon welcome.

*Public - General public events that we cannot regulate (such as comic cons), all are welcome.

Please understand that people who invite us to events expect a certain standard of quality and professionalism. They are not going to invite us back if we show up with bathrobe Jedi or someone acting like a jerk.

We take each event on a case-by-case basis. If there is something you want to attend, but aren't 100% sure on your costume choice send Command Staff an email and we will go from there.
