We have been invited again this year to Baytown's annual night time Christmas Parade. Last year we were trying to attend and was SNOWED out. (Que for David)

Date: Friday, Dec 3rd
Time: Kick-Off 6:30 p.m. (Line-up begins around 5 - 5:30)
Theme: A Hollywood Christmas

Costumes: All

Dressing: At your car

If we have enough say yes, I will gladly cover the entry fee of $10.00 again.

We can have a vehicle or trailer or horse drawn wagon, etc.

Kids can walk that are adult supervised the entire parade. Age 6 or under must be in a vehicle or on a float.

Candy can be handed out but not thrown. Safety issue.

In the service to the Rebellion:

Just arranged for that evening off from work, so I should be able to make it (weather permitting & we get no snow or rain of course).

We were snowed out last year so anything is possible.

This could be a lot of fun and lead to a lot of events and more charity monies.

Sign up ended today 11/29 at noon. I expected a phone call but then I found this web page.

http://www.baytown.org/content/call-entries-annual-christmas-parade

In short is says they are expecting over 250 entries.

Another web page said the parade starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m.

At the HEB Parade, Clinton said he is attending and will be bring his truck.

On Saturday, Bryan and I scouted out the parade route. It is 1.5 miles long and does not loop back to the start.

More info to come as I get it.

Hey John--I can't find anything on where our meeting address/parade starting point will be (where we will park & get dressed).
We have this info somewhere, don't we?
I couldn't make last year's, so I've got no idea where I'm going...

OK, we have info:

We are number 17 in the parade. I am hoping this means very close to the front.

2 different parade coordinators told me for us to park at their location:
Baytown Parks & Recreation Bldg. - 2407 Market St., Baytown, TX 77520
Google says to go I-10 East; Exit onto Decker Dr; Turn Right at N Airhart Dr; Turn Left at Market St; and keep left at “Y”.

We will costume up in the parking lot.

Clint is bringing the truck and his wife will be driving it in the parade. Tammy will be in the back of the truck during the parade. Probably Bryan and Shelby also.

The parade does not loop back so we will be getting in the back of truck at the end and taking back roads back over to the start to “finish” undressing and getting our vehicles. Possibly get some food afterwards.

Confirmed Attendees:
1. Clint B –Vader
2. John D – Jedi
3. Tammy D – Jedi
4. Chris S – TK
5. Kris L – TK
6. Bryan D - Padawan
7. Danny P - Jedi

Jodie B – Driver
Amy S – Photographer
Shelby S – Jr Handler

Maybe Attending:
Mike S.
Sam M.

The parade starts at 6:30 p.m. Streets start closing at 5 p.m. but the streets above should be OK, they are not on the closure list.

I will be getting at the location by 4:30 p.m. to make sure of any last minute changes.

My cell number is 281-785-4861.

I will be bringing some candy to hand out. You are welcome to donate any left over Halloween candy that you may want to get rid of. No throwing is the parade rules, especially from the truck.

This was a lot of fun--I'm glad we got to participate & that Baytown liked our presence there. Looking forward to doing it again next year!!
