Has anyone done an older version of Beru Lars? I've searched through the forums and costume standards and haven't been able to find a thing.

To be honest I don't know. I think Jedi Mickey would be the LCJ to ask.

I don't see any.

You can go look for yourself, there's only 3 pages of Rebel Supporter costumes:

I really don't recall any ep4 Berus. It would be a nice, comfy costume to make.

Rachel did Beru from Ep II and III (see below) - but if I remember correctly, she's the only Beru here on the boards.

I'm far too old to do ep II or III Beru. I'm more of an age with ep IV Beru. In fact, if I let my hair grow another month that'll match hers, I'll just have to style it a little differently, right down to the amount of gray. Laughing

Maybe the only one who posts regularly, but not the only Beru. Just look at my link to the Rebel Supporter costumes. There are several.

Yes, I've actually trooped with another Beru before. I believe she was from New York. Not many post, but there are some out there. I haven't seen an ep IV Beru yet. I have plans for that in about 15 years! Wink

Don't worry about the standards- just research it and make a great costume! Maybe you'll help write the standards.

A great dead-on Aunt Beru costume would be a real attention getter. I can even tell you where to get the correct blue milk cups if you get that far!

What I need and don't have access to are screen shots of Beru from the night that the droids were acquired, before they disappeared. All I can find are from the next morning after Luke has gone in search of the droids. I really don't want to have to go as far as stamping those bat-looking designs on the shirt fabric.

Catherine,

Try looking here:

This one gives a pretty good view:

I do wish somebody could get some material printed to do the correct Beru shirt- that would be amazing!

Thanks Jada. I could have sworn she wore different costumes in the different scenes, I was wrong. Thankfully, the only part of the shirt that shows is collar and cuffs.

Now to figure out how to get that print on the fabric.

I found a couple places on line that do printing on material- that may be the best solution. I could make up the art work of the pattern to do it with.
