Why not? Corran Horn carried lightsaber that was silver-colored. Even the Yuuzhan Vong referred to him as, "Silver Blade".

I think what Bryan is trying to say is that Jedi don't use red, as that is a Sith color.

Yes, silver is fine. Bryan's post above says, to paraphrase, "colors such as, but not limited to..."

Basically, any color but red, or black, since TFU came out.

I'm not trying to argue but doesn't a red light saber not necessarily denote a sith? I know that sith generally use a red lightsaber but luke has used a red lightsaber at times. A red lightsaber just means that the crystal was fabricated or harvested from the egg of some cave dwelling creature or the product of a star that went supernova, right?

For the purposes of Jedi applicants in the Rebel Legion, red lightsabers are not allowed.

I was just wondering if Force Fx Lightsabers are allowed for those of us that are technically challenged nor don't have the space to build their own. Cause I just ordered one,for my Quinlan Vos type costume. I'm his son, lol.

Yes, Force FX (as long as you mean the nicer Master Replicas/Hasbro ones, not the force action cheapie ones) sabers count.

I built my lightsabers from Bigyellowbox.com, but they don't have blades it's just the handle, but if I did have a blade one would be:

1.Blue
2.Green
3.Is a lava crystal acceptable? If not then yellow would be its color.

When I was playing Star Wars Galaxies one of the quests was for a lava lightsaber crystal from mustafar. It was a lava orange like blade that had a lava effect..good luck doing that with an led, but orange (amber bin 6) I would think is acceptable.

If I were to put a blade in my lightsaber at least for now it would be a wooden doul rod until I found someone in Fayetteville, NC who knows how to install electrical parts for an offical FX lightsaber. For now I will stick with my handcrafted lightsabers I made form Bigyellowbox.com

I'm very curious as to what the reason a red blade is not accepted for Jedi is? Smile

Jedi don't carry red sabers, only Sith. (Vader, Dooku, Maul, Sidious).

There may be some relatively obscure references to red bladed sabers and Jedi in the EU, but the majority of the public's and the average fan's knowledge comes from the films.

You never see a Jedi carrying a red bladed saber in any of the films.
