Hello my jedi bretheren,
Yesterday I received the ultrasaber I ordered and was wanting to attach a covertech for my costume but have no idea how to properly do it with out screwing up my new saber. Please fill me in on the proper way to do it. Please Reply.
May the force be with you,
Chase K.

The proper way to attach a Covertec button to a saber is to screw it on.
Which requires drilling the proper size hole for the screw you use, then tapping that hole with correct threads so that it can be screwed on. But that's done while the hilt is still empty, before the electronics are installed.
Which UltraSaber hilt did you get? _________________

I forgot the name but I got it on ebay and very similar to obi-wans but has longer hilt. I was curious if the covertechs have a nut or something you have to thread on from the inside?

The Covertec buttons are generally just screwed onto the hilt with a short screw. That doesn't mean you couldn't use a longer screw and put a nut on the inside of the hilt, but you'd need to make sure you had enough room to slide the battery pack past the nut. I've done it on my 2 TCSS* MHS hilts.
It sounds like maybe you don't want to have to tap threads into your hilt and only want to have to drill a hole?
