Hello my jedi bretheren,
I was curious to know if there are going to be any saber makers with a booth at celebration V? My jedi costume is alsmost complete and only lacks a lightsaber. Please respond.

While I have yet to see a vendor list (I am sure they have one on the C5 webpage somewhere) I would be very suprised if there were not any. _________________ Size matters not. Look at me. I thought that Celebration in general only allowed the licensed people
That would most assuredly rule out the custom sabersmiths yes? |

There is a list on the C5 site. For licensed stuff then no you won't see custom saber smiths there, only efx, hasbro and the like are allowed. _________________ 'Just because I don't like to fight. Doesn't mean I can't' |

I happen to know some of the other builders in the custom saber hobby will be there, but they won't have a booth or anything, for obvious reasons. _________________

I just went thru the exhibitor list and Ky-Wan is right... only Hasbro & eFx are there...
Your best bet is to look up a sabersmith via the Custom Saber Shop (TCSS) or fx-sabers.com
Wait- what in Helen of Troy am I thinking?!?! PM Jay-gon!!!
Not only does he have a stellar reputation, his prices are among the fairest in the known saber-making realm. I {as of yet} do not own a JGJ masterpiece, but I assure you he's on my speed-dial (or speed-PM in this case...).

I also was VERY interested into buying a new custom saber, and I did contacted Jay-gon, but he told me that he wasn't gonna be able to make a saber for those dates...
Any other suggestion??? _________________ Master Skoe

I know a couple from fx-sabers are going, but without their permission I won't post who. I don't think either would take a custom commission this late in the game, but if you go over to fx and make a thread asking for help others not going may take on the task for a quick turn around. |

Any sabersmith would've wanted to receive commission of a saber for CV no later than early January to allow for ample lead time (barring complications, which are plentiful...). That sound right to you, Jay?

Advanced Light Weponry will be there.
In my opinion the best sabers you will find out there. Each is custome Made , neverreproduced in design, and is made of steel construction for durability....
average cost 200 and up . dependign on complexity..
his link ..

Thanks for the replies,
I would love to have some custom sabers but I simply can't afford it.
Instead I ordered an ultrasber so I can duel with it and not worry about damaging it.
I noticed that the 501st is doing some costuming panels.
Will the rebel legion be involved at all?
May the Force be with you all,

Check out the CV forum:
Never mind, I guess you can't see it. But yeah, the RL will be doing a panel. I guess you'll just have to go to the RL booth to see the scheduling. _________________
