With all of my items due to arrive sometime this week, it wont be long till I have everything ready for submission I hope. With that being said I dont want a small detail killing me.. I know that the standards say Covertec clips for my sabre, I know, that type was used in the movies, however, would a different manufacturer be acceptable? At my old job I kept tearing them out of the backs of my cells all the time in the office so I was always replacing them. I still have a few of them, the right sized washer attached to a saber works well with those old clips. Like i said I dont want a small detail coming back to haunt me, but I am also about using something that works if I already have it on hand..

Well thats what I was curious about to a degree. The clips I have work the same way, just they are a little smaller, and more vertical it wouldnt show as much. The covertec looks to be little a bigger and more horizontal.. Thats why I wondered if it would be acceptable...

IIRC, having the exact Covertech is only required for face character replication. for generics, I believe it's allowable to be a similar type.

The nice thing about TCSS is that when you use a Covertec clip to hold your saber on your belt, you can use a machined aluminum or even brass button/wheel on your saber that doesn't look like an after thought, but something that is an integral part of the saber:

I highly recommend anything from TCSS! Laughing
