Has anyone used eLeatherSupply on line for there leather work? I think they have some great deals but just wanted some feedback before I order from them for my Han belt and holster.

Do you mean leather supplies? Leather work is more of a finished product.

This is the first I've heard of them. I get all my tools and leather supplies form Tandy Leather Factory.

I guess not...you can be our scout! How much cheaper are they than Tandy Leather? Tandy does mail order as well and orders are usually filled at the local store level (whichever is closest) and shipped. I've been in the store when my leather guy has been filling orders and he's real conscientious about selecting good leather and such.

Glad to hear you're moving forward with your Han belt.

You may wish to repost the question over in Rebel Rumblings. It may be not many people check the threads in the Fringe section too often. Regardless keep us posted!

The more options we have for leather places the better off we will be. Keep us in the loop on how it goes.

That is very true, good idea. It isn't that they are much cheaper, they just have smaller hides or half shoulders for a better deal. I don't need twelve square feet of leather for one holster and I can use a 3 inch belt blank for the belt.

Are you using the MP buckle? I tried a 2.5 inch strap and it didn't fit. I had to go with a 2 inch strap.

Really? I have the MP buckle set. So you are suggesting 2" leather for the belt part?

Mine needed 2 inch. Maybe yours is a little different (or I put mine together wonky-that's entirely possible). Test it first with a 3 inch strip of paper or cardboard (closer to the thickness of leather) to make sure before you spend money on the belt blank. I bought a 2.5 strap because everyone said that's how wide their belts were only to find it didn't fit. I used it for something else eventually but it still meant an extra trip back to the leather store for me.

Well, I got my leather in the mail today. Thanks Jedimika for your recommendation of the 2" leather strap, the will work perfectly. I just need to pick up some leather working tools and sewing stuff.

I am excited that this will be real leather and last. I also got to pieces of 6-8oz leather for my holster and it is quite thick. I am a little apprehensive of the sewing part I have to say but I know I can do it.
