So I am coming to the experts with questions and help. Has anyone in the Rebel Legion done this Padme yet?
This seems to be the outfit she wears most of the time around Anakin. To make a long story short my wife actually wants to join me from time to time and wants a Padme costume that isn't "crazy" and this is the one she is ok with.
So anyone want to take a stab at materials? Colors? Boots?
Any and all help or ideas would be great....including the actual name of the outfit, LOL! I'll dig up more pics and post them up.

Found a picture showing the whole outfit:
This is one of my favorites from the CW series. I don't think I have seen anyone do this one yet. Not sure about what fabric would be used though.

I am working on this one and the vest and gauntlets would be best done in suede or microsuede. The tan material should be some sort of stretch material similar to the White Battle Costume from TCW but with some strappy patches on the hips and upper arms. The hair is the same as from the Naboo Pilot that she wears in AOTC. _________________

WOW! Awsome help so far. Tan huh? I'll have to watch a few more CW Episodes to nail it down between tan and grey. Same deal as Anakin I guess....blue or grey
So one piece jumpsuit type deal or top and bottom? I'm thinking one piece with a zipper in the back? |

The tan shirt/pants make me think of a cross between her Geonosis outfit and Leia's Hoth outfit. _________________ ~Mieal |

It is most definately a tan top and bottom that is like the AOTC Battle outfit with a Hoth Leia vest and arm and leg patches. I have screenshots and I will find writing the standards for the costume tonight and post them. _________________

Sounds like it will be easy enough to do provided there is information about the AOTC Padme and Hoth Leia.....I mean in the way of recommended patterns to mod and such.
I am appreciating all the help. |

All that detail on those costumes! This is going to test my sewing ability for sure. Those two links are awsome! |

I actually made the vest quite a while back, and I kind of put the costume off for completion sometime....who knows when. I'll post a picture of it when I get a chance. |

Ok ladies I need some help in tracking down the Simplicity Pattern 4433.....out of print and I can't find it anywhere I'm want to start on the suit for my wife but can't. If one of you has it and wants to sell, copy or do a commission I'd be grateful and so will my wife |

Hard to believe but I found it doing a google search for Star Wars costume pattern. I got it new uncut and shipped for $27!!!! The only other one I found was for $55 plus shipping so I got a pretty sweet deal IMO. |

Well I totally forgot to post up the pictures of the finished costume........While I am happy with how it turned out I know it would never pass Legion standards so "be nice."
My wife wore it twice and both times kids knew exactly who she was. She told me that if she ever wears it again that she is going to do Padme's hair like it should be. She had a blast wearing it and walking around with me last December at Steel City Con in Pittsburgh.
The undersuit is the Padme Battle Arena pattern modified with the quilted pattern down the arms and legs which was the hardest part to do. The vest was a ladies dress jacket that I modied into the vest. It is a crushed velvet material. Belt is a USN Officer belt with pleather holster and pouch from the pattern of the undersuit (can't remember the name of it right now.) Pistol is the Rubies Ep1 version modified and painted silver. Boots are just an off the shelf cheap pair to "get the job done." I also used off the shelf gloves with custom made guanlets. I used several screen grabs and the Hasbro figure as referance. These are the only two pics I have of her in the costume. If anyone else has done one I'd love to see it.

From the picture, the costume looks very nice. Glad your wife had fun wearing it. Sounds like some kids got a little fun out of it too and that's what its all about . Thanks for posting a pic! _________________ Stay on Target |
