While I am not a Wookiee costumer, I do havequite a few stories about the local Wookiee, from getting goosed at a baseball game, to having cheerleaders and parade court princesses pose in pics with him. He get all the attention. One of my favorite moments with our local Wookiee was at a small parade in Vancouver, Washington.

We did this very short parade a few years back. It just happened to be that the Wookiee and me took up the tail end of our group, I was in my TIE PILOT.

As we were walking, a couple of teenage girls screamed at him, "Chewie, we love you!"

Now, I have been known to belt out the Wookiee roar, from time to time. So, as he was waving back at them, Rick says, "hey, Bill, do it!"

I did the the Wookiee roar through my helmet. Not sure how they heard me, but they did. And what's more, they thought it was him doing it! They screamed again, and we walked on.

I have to agree, you Wookiees get all the love, especially at parades. I can't count how many times the rest of the costumers got trumped as soon as the Wookie walked in. But you know, you guys also really make those events memorable, too!

- Bill

Trooped at a birthday party for the grandson of a lady who works with me. As we were leaving, the birthday boy came up to say goodbye. I bent down and threw my arms out to try to get him to give me a hug. When he was in range, I wrapped him up (gently of course) and stood straight up with him. Made for a great picture that just makes me smile......

"Yikes! I'm 3 feet off the ground!" I want to see the expression on the kid's face. Razz

Now he can brag to all of his school mates, that weren't there, that Chewbacca came to his birthday party!
Cool
