I would say yes to a patch, but coins can get quite expensive. i just got done designing a coin for my army unit and it took some work! Plus it gets quite pricey. For our sized group, I think patches would suffice. But thats just me.

Don't we just need to sell 100 coins for it to be worth doing? I'm pretty sure the Coin collectors of the 501st might make it possible to sell off...

I say patch. Easier to sell at cheaper prices and you can sew them onto your jacket...

CooR, recommend contacting Cobalt60. He designed our crest.

I would be interested in both Patch and Coin. Patch always seems like the best one too develop first as they seem more popular usually.

Yes, coins and patches are fun to have even if you are not really collecting them all. I just get the stuff for the groups I am actually a part of. Some collect them all, so we would not have to worry about minimum order I would think.

I have been talking to the DXO and getting his opinion on this topic, and reading everyone's opinion as well. I appreciate everyone posting their opinions, after all this detachment is all of ours.

With that being said, I would like to find out from everyone if the patch should be done first?

As Jeffery stated in an earlier post that patches tend to be more popular.

Jason would like to see the coin.

My fellow smugglers, the choice I leave in your hands.

Personally I don't have any use for the coins- but that's just me. I don't drink much, so drinking games don't interest me at all.

I love any patch of course!

Are we talking about doing patches of the existing M. Falcon DB94 design, or coming up with something else?

This is the question I am putting out there. If we want to use the current crest or come up with a new design for a patch.

I like the MF logo, but initially I was thinking of something reflecting Mos Eisley decor and incorporating the '94' design from the wall in the movie:
