Just wanted to let all you know that I am in the process of making a Vibro Ax for a friend who will be dressing as Slave Leia. I am trying to keep the project under 50 bucks, while still making a decent prop. So if all works out, I willl post a tutorial. I think this really only will apply to the Skiff Guard Lando's. I will also be updating on the RPF.

I apologize that I failed to add the lenght! It will top out around 6 feet.
I was able to attach the blade to the oil bottle using some screws and hot glue today, but thats all for today. Gotta get ready for some college Football out in Iowa City!!

Michael, this is looking good. I think a tutorial is in order for this. Please keep us advised of your progress.

This axe was made using a push broom, toilet repair kit, some pvc pipe conectors, a motor oil container, some misc copper tube, and a "slasher movie" haloween knife. Cost was under 50 if I remember correct. All parts (except the knife) were purchased at Wal-Mart.

A rivit puller/gun helps with this build.

I have pics of this finished and need to upload them, but I can tell you, it turned heads when we went out!

Hey, I'm interested in purchasing a Vibro-Ax replica for an upcoming photo shoot. Do you have any interest in building another/selling this one? I think it'd really make the costume much better.

Plus, you're welcome to any of the publishable photos (we have a full crew for the shoot so I can assure you they'll be high quality) that feature the prop you made, if you'd like!

nerftheherder,

Do you have a parts list? I am in the process of finding parts, for a custom costume, and the vibro-ax is a part of the costume.
