Just curious, what is everyone working on this year in regard to costuming? SW or non-SW it's all good!
Complete and works in progress.
Star Wars
RFT - complete.
(Trooped in it twice June 20 in Wilington, DE and June 27 in Madison, NJ.)
Yavin Tech - 60% complete
Death Star Trooper - 10% complete

I'm trying not to tackle any new costumes, but just work on upgrades for my existing ones. As they're all between 3-5 years old and are starting to show their age.
Jedi
need to find the pen caps I bought and make food capsules out of them
probably should re-do the cloak as it's shrunk a little
would like to redo the obi as it's not as thick as I would like
Rebel Fleet Trooper
need to paint up on of my NERF blasters and make a holster for it
need to totally redo my helmet
need to put the back pockets on the vest
EIII Padme (green velvet)
need to line the whole dress
need to get and sew in the special sleeve fabric
need to make the emblem patterns all over the dress
need to repair the waist sash
Jawa
need to redo the inner mask
need to make a holster for my new blaster
need to make a holder for my welder prop
But I probably won't get to much of any of that this year as we're likely focusing on re-doing my husband's Stormtrooper instead. _________________

I'm working on an x-wing pilot, still need hardware, chestbox, tubing, straps, and to modify my flak vest. It'll take time as money is short right now, but hopefully I'll have it done before the year is out! _________________ Aren't you a little tall for a princess? |

I have sources to get alll the stuff I need, it's just the money issue, but hopefully once I'm working again I'll have a little extra cash to throw towards costuming _________________ Aren't you a little tall for a princess? |

OK. I'll say that I'll have these done, this year:
> EII white clone trooper - Armor and accessories have been collecting dust for well over a year, now. I've only gotten as far as trimming the armor. When I do start building it, though, I'm taking my sweet time. I want this one to be "perfect". I'm really excited about it, becasue I've got all the top-notch parts for this build. I just need to clone myself or stop time.
> The Clone Wars Plo Koon - Haven't purchased a thing for this one, yet. Got some great ideas though!
> Galactic Marine clone trooper - I've got about half of what I need for this one. Again, just need to find time.
> Jedi - I really need to do a new cloak. This one's gonna' be more Windu style.
> Son's clone Commander Stone - We've got him some outstanding pistols, but that's about it. I need to order his armor still. I'm debating whether to use his voice changer or just get a resin one for this. He's 8, BTW. It should be fun!
Realistically, I'll be lucky if we get my son's clone done. I'm so busy making stuff for other people that my own projects tend to get put on the back burner. _________________ Would you like to know more?

Endor Han - In order to register it I need to have new pants made
with the correct riding seam and Pin tucks on the legs. I
am also awaiting the arrival of my ROTJ style blaster.
ANH / DS Escape Han - I will be remaking my ANH Pants as
well to meet the new standards. Once I have the
ESB Buckles I can mix them with my ROTJ
Buckles and I have the right Combo of buckles
for ANH Holster so I can wear the costume as
regular smuggler Han instead of DS Escape Han
if I wish. I will also need the right the Blaster.
Bespin Han - I am ordering the correct Buckles to change out with my
ROTJ Holster. I have a pattern for the Jacket. I need
the ESB Blaster.
Endor Commando - I will be starting out with the basic form of this. I
have a Donut kit and will be ordering the soft part
of the Helmet this month. Helmet seems to be the
main obstacle of this costume. I also have a
pattern for the vest but may be ordering it from a
member depending on the price. I also have a pair
of Spats. The rest of it seems like things I can
order online, I just need to camo the pants. I
have the hasbro blaster I can mod. _________________

Good to hear about other costumes in the works or being updated.
My Yavin Tech is now 75% complete, hoping to have it fully operational by late Aug. The Imperial Navy Trooper costume is 60% complete. |

Currently working on this one of Jaina Solo's outfits... or rather, have some of the materials and am waiting till I'm back in Philly (I'm all over the place during the summer) to actually get some work done!
I just love that outfit! |

By the way, both working costumes Yavin and IN are at 75% complete...I wish I had a back yard spray paint the "little" things then would be closer. |

So there still is the Jaina that I posted a while ago. Trying to find out the perfect dye for the fabric I have to get it the right color is giving me the headache of a century!!! And I also got the materials to make Mirax Terrik's leather jacket as I want something to wear in the colder months and I love Mirax. Can't wait to start on her helmet too!!!
Oh, and I've added Marasiah Fel to my list. Largely because I naturally DO have brown hair w/a white streak like she does. ^_^ Yippeee!!! Although this one shall take AGES to debut as I want it to be perfect for Celebration V.
I'm also working on saving up enough to get custom sabers for Jaina and Marasiah. Ha ha. |
