The 501st and Rebel Legions will be working together on October 10th, 2009 for the DK Publishing Lego Star Wars Visual Dictionary release.

Each team will consist of 4 members, three from the 501st and one from the RL. We are in charge of supplying this member.

We have two events in our territory, a Barnes and Noble in Osseo, MN, and a Books A Million in Omaha, NE. I need volunteers for each location. Once we get a list of interested members, two names will be selected at random for each location. The first name will get to do the event. The second will be the backup in case something happens and the first person can't participate.

The RL character MUST be a formal registered costume, and must be a recognizable character. Jedi, RFTs, X-Wing pilots especially. Again, this is a FORMAL event, so if a face character is chosen, they must resemble that character. Not usually a problem here in our Base, but I just wanted to make sure that was clear.

The is no flexibility on the numbers for this, only one RL character will be able to participate at each location! Not our rule, this comes straight from DK Publishing.

Minnesota, keep in mind that this is the same day as FallCon. We don't yet know how long this event would run, but I can't imagine that it would be more than a few hours at most, and you could easily do both events in one day.

hmm...I'll be willing to be an alternate? I think I would prefer to go to Fallcon...But who knows, maybe my Obi-Wan or ESB Han will be approved by then. So let me know if I should add my name to the thing at the top or not.

It's up to you, Brian. If you're content to be the alternate, then I see no reason why you can't call it ahead of time. We've got a LONG time before the event, so you have plenty of time to make up your mind. Smile

Ain't it the truth! Smile But hey, at least they haven't ruled out face characters this time, Teresa. Mr. Green

which was actually the reason I said I'd be an alternate...cause my face (character) isn't as good as Teresa's...

Teresa will be handling the selection for the MN event and should have that posted today.

I went ahead and drew for the Omaha event and, believe it or not , Embarassed pulled my name out of the hat, with Phil (ephantmon) as the second.

Jenny, are you interested in being an Imperial or a Rebel, for this event?

If you and Brian are doing face characters that is cool. But if you need a non face character Rebel I can do Jedi. Not a big deal either way...just let me know.
