I like the old cell phone antenna Idea. On some if you are careful in taking apart the pnone you will find that there is a special shaped nut that the antenna screws into for mounting. This nut makes it possible for mounting on the helmet without a lot of gluing. Just be careful not to make the drilled mounting hole too big. You want to be able to screw the antenna through the helmet box first and then place the nut on the other side for a tight install. Some also have a tube sleeve that the end of the antenna slides up and down in the phone. When the antenna is postioned correctly you can glue the base of the sleeve to the bottom of the helmet box to make a slick and clean installation.
I especially like the idea of being able to lower the antenna so I can put my helmet in a bag for transport more easily. I know this doesn't follow the film examples, but it makes for a clean, smart looking and practical installation.
Cool

For my antena, I used a steel hanger that was already white, so no painting and the look is great.
