Greetings from the Rebel Legion Starfighter Command (RLSC)!

(I wasn't exactly sure who to send a PM to, so I'm posting here.)

Recently we've seen the sig bar of Vinicius Ayres which mentioned (quite prominently) "Blaze Squadron, Rebel Legion". To put it mildly, this interested us here in the Pilot Detachment since we've no record of the formation of such a Squadron.

However, after a little research, we've also noted that "Blaze Squadron" is included in your Base logo which tell us a couple things. (1) The Squadron obviously predates the formation of the RLSC, and (2) we're obviously not going to make your Base change it. Very Happy

So in the interest of good housekeeping, to make Blaze Squadron an official RL squadron, and to "grandfather" your Squadron into the RLSC, can you please follow the following link and follow the instructions at the bottom of the post so we can add you to our honor roll of squadrons?

http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10500

Thanks and looking forward to having another squadron in the hanger!

On a unrelated side note, I've also noticed that your members have recently begun referring to your Base as Brazillian Base Yavin IV (but its not the name of your Base on your logo or on the list of Rebel Legion bases). Since there is also currently a German Base Yavin, perhaps you might want to discuss this with Jase 'edgejedi' Fox (RL Base Command Liasion) to avoid any confusion.

(If such a discussion has already taken place, sorry for sticking my nose where it doesn't belong. Embarassed )

I was actually wondering that myself, but I was waiting until after elections to ask. I can only handle so many balls in the air to juggle at a time Wink

Thank you all to bring this up.
Our CO mentioned that but locally and I was waiting the "new logo" to "verify" how to discuss this. As we are changing the logo, we are thinking about to put a name for the base and not an squadron name". At the same time, I was wondering myself that there was already "Yavin" something and this wouldn't make sense.

First of all, sorry for the confusion. Let's solve this properly. Smile

Jase, as Yavin IV already exists, we cannot "use" it, right? I cannot check threads right now, but there's something related to it somewhere here...isn't it?
Is there a list of 'names' from all bases, to avoid this? Smile

I got to go now, to visit the place for our Jedicon and test audio and video.
But I will "take a look" at this later and we can solve it. Smile

Once more, thanks for pointing this!

rgs

Mary...
(Ooh, it's cold here... Sad Sad)

Hi fellas.
We discussed about the name and decided to avoid problems, confusions and make things easier, we will maintain the name BLAZE SQUADRON as our local base. Smile

We are now finishing the new logo. Soon it will be submitted! Smile

I'll now check the thread related to the squadrons, but I can tell you, Blaze Squadron was born in 2004. So, before the RLSC. Wink

Thank you all!

Spring's greetings for you!!! Smile

Master Hazard Three, greetings.

Allow me to introduce myself, for I don´t believe we´ve ever met. My name is Hermes Barreto, III - First Commanding Officer of the Rebel Legion - Brazilian Base, and I was pointed to this thread by Mary, the current CO, and a very good friend of mine, who served dilligently as XO for quite a while.

I would like to address the issue of "Blaze Squadron".

Back before there was an updated charter, and back when I created the Brazilian Base, the Rebel Legion was named Blaze Squadron because of a story that I still have full plans to tell - of a group of specialists from the Rebellion, making the entrance into the Incom Factory to enable the theft of the first X-Wing Fighters. This is the Blaze Squadron.

Why would I call us such? Blaze Squadron was, in the story, a squadron that dealt with EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM and solved it, for they were a team of people versed in almost every available skill in order to complete the job. In the words of a movie here - Elite Squad - A Mission given is a Mission Accomplished, and in that spirit, the Squad came to be.

The new rules stipulate that there must be three members with X-Wing Pilot Suits to fulfill a Squadron requirement, and I would like to say that there just MAY BE such members. Myself, Mr. Ayres, though he must take new pictures of his suit, to check the standards, for he seems to have upgraded it somehow, and Fabrício, who, to my recollection, has such a suit, though I might be mistaken.

However, if there AREN`T enough members to make a Squadron, I PERSONALLY will make an X-Wing Pilot Suit for anyone who wishes to join the Rebel Legion and asks for a suggestion, thus burying this question, and officializing the Blaze Squadron as a Squadron.

I hope this is a viable solution for this rather embarrassing detail, and we look forward to fill the skies with many, many other pilots from now on Smile

Thank you so much, and I hope this lays this problem to rest Smile

Hermes!
