I can agree with that... a detachment that would benifit costume standards... I am all for that. Who do you all think this detachment should be for then ? Charactor wise that is.

Anyone that is not an Alien that flys a ship around for hire, that is not evil, I would say. Right?

The detachment would of course seem to be center on Han, but would include all other similar characters.

well I agree with all of this to some degree. the big thing I've seen after lurking for a long time on forums like this, is how people don't always share sources for things,

either for reference material or locations to get things. this is partly why I posted links etc to where I got stuff from and what the prices were. that way, anyway starting a Han costume in future has a bit of a starting point to look at.

at the very least. characters ie chewie, han, mirax, karrde etc should have a sticky topic where people can post links to items.

ie greeblies, sidearms, belts, costumes, etc

Yes, Exactly. Starting sticky threads for any info for all the different characters is a good start. That will be a good way of organizing info.

I think our goal would to eventually have a site, or even a Yahoo group like the RL Troops have, that takes each costume, picks it apart piece by piece and gives at least two different ways of obtaining that piece. In other words a beginners way of doing it, and a more advanced approach. For Example you can order the Embroidered Blood Stripes and have them sewn on a pair of Dark Blue Pants, or you can make your own pants and embroider the stripes your self, here is how. Not as complex as a tutorial necessarily, unless one is needed. All of this would begin with the Costume Standards so that new recruits will not have to question or worry about if their costume is going to be acceptable as long as they follow our guides. There will always be at least 2 ways listed for doing things, but the result which ever way, will meet RL Standards.

First thing to do is to go through the actual standards and make sure they are at the level that we want them to be. I believe some of them need to be more specific. At least for Han.

hmmm one character that could do with help would be Captain Dentells. Female smuggler seen in a few of the Star wars empire comics (about 5 issues I think) and in the original Rogue Squadron 1/2 issue.

The story had her delivering R2 units to Yavin IV just before ANH.

Female, dark hair, upper chest armour. Rest of her costume like Mirax's.

she's also in a few of the latest rebellion issues. the bannistar station story. in a bwing gear, and a fetching black number with twin leg h olsters.

the girls are often moaning that their costumes are usually of face characters, well here's a chance for a smuggler and a bit of attitude.

Yeah, I mean first of all they would have to be in the RL... which removes most evil players does it not? I actually am not sure on this, but I immagine there are some EU charactors that might fall into a weird catagory.

For the most part I think we would focus on Han ( we have the most info on him ) and branch out I think from there.
