Hey all, in the Omaha area there is a trooping event at the TRU on 74th & Dodge on Friday night. Details are in the following quote from the CG boards.

Quote:
OK troops, here is the low-down on our appearance at TRU:

As John said, this is a Canon, 501st and Rebel Legion event only. I hate to leave anyone out, but being a LucasFilm event, those are the rules. Handlers are more than welcome however. Also, unless you are a sandy, pauldrons will not be allowed!

The plan is to arrive at the Toys R Us store on Dodge street around 11:00 PM Friday night. The store employees will be inside preparing the store and will let us through the doors where we can change. The public will not be allowed in the store until midnight, so we can mingle and entertain the crowd outside until they open the doors at 12. Once the doors open, mass hysteria will ensue for about 10 or 15 minutes. At that point we'll be able to go get out of costume since most of the public will go home as soon as they get what they want.

Let me know if you're interested, or go to the thread on the CG boards: http://centralgarrison.org/viewtopic.php?t=2256&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

As far as I know, all attempts to troop up in MN have not been met well by the TRU stores up there. Mad

Well, in Omaha, we had a good time! Very Happy There were two rebels against 3 TKs, a Scout, and an Imperial Gunner. The semi-small crowd enjoyed our presence and they even picked on the Scout! Laughing TRU loved us! They couldn't get enough pics!

Here is a sampling of the evening!

I was at the Clive, IA store at midnight too but the temp was still in the 80's that I didn't wear my Jedi Robe. I did get some pic of the guys from the 501st and my Rebel pilot ewok Lt Kettch (last seen at OSFest).
