Hello all,
I am new to RL, but I have a question, that I havent been able to get answered on the Jedi Assembly website. I would like to wear my jedi costume to SWW, but Im not sure if Disney will allow it. Also, how do I register for one of the parades if i want to be in it. Can anyone give me a definitive answer, or will i just have to go a day early and ask the folks at Disney? Thank you for any info you can provide, and MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

only approved members with approved costumes can march in the Disney parades.

Have you submitted the costume for approval on RL yet?
if not, then the answer would be "No" as far as I understand.

The answer is indeed no, you have to be Full RL member with a Formal status with you costume. You also have to have a prior troop as a member of the RL before you can march SWWs.

No one is allowed to join right before SWWs then march at SWWs due to the nature of the event. You must be an established member.

How about we have the rule for this event all written out and in PDF format for one to download? And update it every year at the rule from others might change.

That way we can just point to it if this question somes up again.

Its all there! However, if a person is new and a forum user they are not going to see it. Again, SWW marchers are those that are active with the RL, in good standing, have a formal costume and have completed the application prior to the event. Especially two weeks before the event and right now we are UNDER 2 weeks before SWW.

At this point, no new or potential members will be able to march in SWW. Sorry but that is the rules.

We are now in the cut-off period

I said download in PDF format. The board are all nice and good but I am old fashion and like a paper copy so I can write notes on. (You should see my printed copy of the club rules.) Plus, if your try to print something from the board you might have 20+ page of information that you do not need. Which all you need is on the first page.

No need to bold out your text. How about selecting the text with your mouse, right clicking, copying that text, then pasting it in a document writing program and hitting print.

Not everyone has adobe to open PDFs anyway.

SWWs is a closed/private type event anyway, the people who need the rules have a way to get them. They can be emailed on request as well. Ra Kura and the FL501st has stuff pretty well under control. And it has to be controlled to prevent people from trying to sneak in showing up in some of the most outlandish costumes imaginable, from trashcan liner Mara Jades to crimson red nazi Imperial Officers.

I think having the Legion Charter & the costuming standards as downloadable pdf'S is a great idea. And anyone can download the pdf reader for free.

No one is bickering, someone made a suggestion and instead of taking it into consideration, we were told a less efficient way to do it.

THanks for all the replies on this issure. I understand that I cannot march this year. I understand that I can still wear my jedi costume. It is a soft costume, and I will not be wearing a mask. THanks again for all the responses.
