Hay All,
Just thought I would leave an update, incase anyone is thinking of joining us.

Half of the Blaster Range is a Death Star trench! And it could use a few pilots to help the kids hit the exhaust port. Also our recruitment table and the kid’s activity area need volunteers. Everyone wishing to volunteer at the booth must sign-up before hand. Crimson (Rome) will be assigning duties and shifts from the sign-up list. He will also be making an info packet for each volunteer to receive when they check-in at the booth.

You’re welcome to sign-up through me, by giving me your name, RL ID, and which days you’re available to volunteer. I’ll pass everyone’s names on to Crimson, and make sure you get on the volunteer list.

Or if you're on the GLG forums you can sign-up there: sign-up clicky- must be a forum member

Either way, be sure to sign-up before hand!

Crimson would like to know who all is willing to volunteer by April 18, so he can then make a schedule.

If you want to be on the schedule ahead of time, be sure you get signed-up through me or Crimson on the Great Lakes Garrison forum. (There is a link to the GLG forum in the first post)

Some of you may sill be uncertain at that time, I’m sure if you decide you can help after April 18, we can find you a spot on the schedule.

Crimson did want to have costumed groups roaming the convention floor in addition to the volunteers at the booth, so there will be plenty of “work” to do.

While the Great Lakes Garrison doesn’t have any rules for the booth, I would like to see us observe a few.

• While volunteering at the booth you are representing the Rebel Legion. Be courteous, and watch your language.

• The booth and changing area is a not hang out spot. When not volunteering you’ll be own your own.

• The Rebel Legion table is a place where the public can meet us and receive information about the group. The excitement and interest at the table is US!

• Costumes worn by volunteers at the booth need to be Rebel Legion approved before the convention, family friendly, conductive to interacting with kids, and complete (no Han Solo in blue jeans). No Slave Leia, Padme Family Gown, Padme Fireside (without feather shaw), or ripped Padme Battle costume.

• Official Rebel Legion or Midwest Base apparel is also acceptable.

• Please wear a name badge while volunteering. Name badges will be provided for those that volunteered ahead of time. If you have purchased an official Rebel Legion name badge, please wear it instead of the ones provided.

• Please plan on arriving early for your shift. There may be instructions you need to receive. And, well… it’s just courteous.

• Do not leave the table unattended! Should you need to leave for some reason ask another member or a member of the 501st Legion to take your place.

• While volunteering, please store personal items in the changing area. The booth is not a storage area. Do not leave personal items laying around the booth.
