Alright, I hope to get a start on my pilot suit over the holidays. But I wanted to double check something here. After trying the flightsuit/jumpsuit route (I bought the smallest orange suit I could find and it was WAAAAY too big) I decided to go the 'make from scratch' route. So I went out and bought the only suitable fabric I could find here (the middle of nowhere). I brought it home and realized that wasn't so much flightsuit orange as road-pylon-flourescent-can't-lose-me-in-a-snow-good-if-I-have-to-eject-from-my-xwing orange.

Looking at the member pics, it seems we have a lot of different oranges, so my first thought is that it's okay. And I really don't want to have to buy a third set of fabric! But I'd rather do that then make the suit and find out it's not good.

Okay, second, I will be using the green pepper pattern (oh, say that 10 times fast). I know about leaving off the epulets (sp?), adding the colour mod and whatever pockets, details that are shown in the Echo Base tutorial. Anything else I should be moding, construction-wise for this pattern?

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't worry about the color so much, as it's going to probably fade over time. My flightsuits were much too orange when they were new, but washing and wearing them has dulled it a bit. They're probably truthfully a bit too bright still, but it's ok.

Thanks. I'll make sure to wear it and wash it lots. Smile
