I wouldn't mind getting one...not only is it an easy way to add another costume, but it sure would help during those fall/winter parades up here in Minnesota...brrr... _________________

Don, talk to Rob Howes (Snowman) in Sunrider Base. He's Hazard Fourteen and has the Snowspeeder costume incl. the coat.
See his pic here: http://www.sunriderbase.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=808
But if you're doing the Snowspeeder pilot costume, don't forget you'll need new boots, new gloves and a couple other tweaks to the Standard pilot flight gear. _________________ Jon Paulson • Cmdr. Tag "HazardThree" Greenly

Yes, but the pilots would have used them anytime they were cold if they had them. The standards say you don't have to have new boots or gloves, if I am not mistaken. What other tweaks do I need??? _________________ Zhi-don Aquintas

Sorry, but I'd have to agree with Jon on the Hoth Pilot outfit. The jacket, boots, and gloves were only shown on, and unique to Hoth. It's cold in space so why wouldn't they wear the jacket all the time? They don't.
I racked my brain trying to get a Formal/Cannon Hoth Pilot outfit together, and for anyone to come along with just a jacket claiming to be a Hoth Pilot, That wouldn't work with me.
*Just my 2 cents.* _________________ Major Trebor "Snowman" Olus

Except that some of the Hoth pilots are wearing black boots.
Also, Don, the Hoth jacket has that big poofy neck thing that Luke's Ceremonial Jacket dosn't have. _________________

Wow. O.K.
Guess it really helps to be a RL member before putting together a costume.
Not that I would've done anything different, but then again I'm anal like that. _________________ Major Trebor "Snowman" Olus

Keep in mind too that the Costume Standards for the entire Legion are under review and some of those items may change and or be expanded on slightly in the (near?) future. _________________ Jon Paulson • Cmdr. Tag "HazardThree" Greenly

From what I see, the pilots wore black mid-calf boots inside Echo base, but the snow boots out in the snow.
One thing that I think all pilots wore, but is not in the costume standards is the hood worn under the helmet. |

I don't think you can see them when they have their flight helmets on?
Its the same soft helmet thats used on the Endor troopers, with the ear cups covered. Persornally, I woulden't want to wear one under a flight helmet... but thats just me. Not the most comfortable thing ever. _________________

They're not really noticeable, but they're there. I rarely wear my helmet anyway, but if I were go do a Snowspeeder pilot, I'd probably wear the liner, and just carry the helmet. _________________
