This there a reference somewhere that points out the different CRLs between the different eras of Chewbacca? Just wanted to make sure my WIP is on the right track.

We have different CRLs for different Chewies.

There is not an official CRL for Solo Chewie yet, but if that's something you're interested in, we can help you pull together resources for him.

as a fair warning, the CRL's that are posted are not up to date and have some things wrong with them. New CRL's are being worked on to my understanding. Your smarter bet is to contact a legion judge like myself and ask questions as you go along vs looking at a check list.

I started saying the CRLs were wrong 10 years ago. I made posts about them, they have faded back some bit. Hopefully things will progress soon? The issue in my mind is the RL does everything in committee. On the plus side all inputs are accounted and everyone gets a say. On the down side its an incredibly slow process that does not move mountains.

Hello - These are valid issues, and I'd like to find a way for at least some temporary clarification for builds.

I'm trying to work on the CRL issue. We've got this very large standards update project going on in the background, which is interwoven in all this.

Would it be possible, once the list of items that are not correct in the current CRLs, to perhaps post a sticky in the forum with what are the requirements not listed in the CRLs? This would be a big help to those starting out their build and could possible help people not spend money on items that may not be approvable even though they are listed in the CRL.

I'm hoping to do something similar to that, Big Bear.

What I'm thinking is to open a thread in our Fringe Standards forum that lists the standard to be changed. This would allow us to gather the information that needs to be updated and hold a vote on it (required for RL to change the official standard; ticking the box). If we can get the update addressed before they post the new photo-standard, then when the new standards roll out, we would know they're correct. In the interim, the thread would be available to refer to so builders would have the correct information.

We could put a sticky with a link to the thread here as well so people building Chewies could refer to it during the build process.

Does that sound like a solution that would work for everyone? If it would work, I can set up the thread when I get off work.

The Wookiee Standards were revised last year and rewritten to fit the new format, until they are posted, we are judging based on the published standards. There are already standards written for Solo and New Trilogy Chewie.

Will people approved some years ago be reevaluated? For instance, if you have a modified rubies chewie will it be judge again or not?

Hey there, a costume may be re-evaluated at the request of the member’s BCO. The RL hasn’t done a mass re-eval since around 2010 I believe.
