So, I have an approved generic jedi costume, which is quite minimal:
- inner tunic
- outer tunic
- pants
- tabards
- belt+accessories
- boots
- lightsaber prop and stunt lightsaber
In the meantime, I got some upgrades, that were never part of an approval:
- second stunt lightsaber
- robe
- Zabrak horns
I definitely want to keep a generic human jedi, as this does not require makeup and can be used any time.
Having an approved Zabrak (iridonian) would be cool. I initially planned to do a Zabrak generic jedi general, but I'd have to redo my tunics for that (maybe later).
So, I'm not sure how to go with approval with my upgrades. I see the following options:
1. Leave generic human jedi as is. Get a Zabrak generic jedi with robe and the second stunt saber approved.
2. Upgrade the generic human jedi with the robe and all sabers. Get Zabrak generic jedi with robe and all sabers approved
3. Upgrade the generic human jedi with the robe. Forget the Zabrak until it is really distinct (e.g. generic jedi general with own tunics).
First option gives me two costumes approved, with as many different details as possible.
The second option gives two costumes, that are as near to the way I'll carry them, as possible - I like my new robe and I'll carry it in most of cases. I also tend to change my sabers during events, sometimes I'd stay with my static prop on my belt and oversee the kids fighting with my "real" sabers. Parents do the photos.
Or maybe I'm overthinking this and it doesn't matter, as long as all costume pieces are approved in at least once? |

Unless you originally were approved as a Zabrak then you will need to get it approved as a new costume. _________________ Kellie Hendley

Thank you for a prompt answer - the Zabrak part/apprival is clear. Does it however, concern anyone and thus needs approval, if I upgrade my human jedi at the same time? Having the same costume (+/- horns and makeup) approved twice seems a bit redundant to me and very redundant for the judges, doesn't it? |

Just go with option one. That will have your new set up approved as well as the alien parts. _________________
