These are some of Saw Gerrera's rebels from the game Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. Which detachment would be best for these guys? The game takes place five years after Order 66. The Republic has fallen but the Rebel Alliance has not been created yet as far as I know the timeline. They are members of a rebel cell similar to Enfys Nest's cloud riders. They are not the radical group that Saw has on Jedha in Rogue One. Would this rebel cell fall under RAID or Fringe?
I think some people might be interested in these guys because some of them wear masks, which might be a good idea during the Coronavirus pandemic, and some wear armor or both.

Since this is likely before the Alliance parted ways with Saw, my first guess would be RAID.
However, we may discover more details over time, and LAC may have different ideas.
As an irregular force, there's more room for counter-arguments. _________________ CO: Rebel Alliance Infantry Detachment

I do not think that the Rebel Alliance as an organization exists yet in the time the game takes place. It is five years after Order 66 and 15 years before the Battles of Scarif and Yavin. I think Saw's Gerrera's rebel cell on Kashyyyk is part of what will become the Rebel Alliance. Then later he gets kicked out because he is too radical for the Alliance.
This rebel cell can only be considered an irregular force because there is no Rebel Alliance yet. They are a local rebel cell similar to Enfys Nest's Cloud-Riders in Solo - a Star Wars Story or the Ghost crew in the first season of Star Wars Rebels. Solo takes place around 13-10 BBY and Rebels 5-1 BBY.
After considering all this info I think that Saw Gerrera's Kashyyyk rebel cell will probably be placed in Fringe similar to Enfys Nest and her Cloud-Riders as well as Saw Gerrera's Jedha partisans. _________________ RAID GRRRL-Squad-Leader 2019 - present

Has anything further been concluded by the Costume committee or - dare I say- LAC/ LMO?
Which costume would be created? All, or pick a likely candidate?
I AM interested in masked versions of soft uniforms. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr

I also posted this question in Fringe. Amelia (Emily Haas) was also not sure if they should belong to RAID or Fringe like Saw's partisans in Rogue One. No, we never heard anything from the higher-ups. Perhaps we should pose the question again after the elections are over.

My vote would be for RAID as many of the costume components are part of existing costume standards in that detachment and the expertise on them would lie there. _________________ Legion Costume Judge (RAID) 2019- |

I would posture for RAID inclusion ( yes I actually said that) if the LMO/LAC won't give guidance soon after the election cycle. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr

I concur RAID seems like the best fit, timeline notwithstanding.
As the SW universe expands, unless we constantly make new detachments (or just dump everything into a catch-all "other"), I think strict definitions of what fits into a detachment just because of the name (chosen far before these other options even existed) needs to be a little looser.
The 501st is having some of the same issues, with respect to long-standing detachment names incorporating newer costumes, rather than just dumping them all into the "other" detachment. (Flagship Eclipse) _________________
