The hat in this image looks to be the same color as the concho. Is that the correct color (e.g. hat should match concho color)

Yes, exactly! Thanks for summarizing my ramblings.

Realized we still need to write about the bag and breathing mask...

Should the bag be an optional item? If memory serves, it is never really seen on screen -- that entire scene is so dang dark! And after a quick check, it is hidden in promotional photos. The only reason I knew it existed is because of the photos of the exhibit and the Hot Toys figure.

Anyway, here's my attempt at the breathing mask:

Quote:
Breathing Mask
Item Image URL:
Source:

Required Details
- Similar model to ESB and TFA on the Falcon
- Mask is aged to a translucent brown
- Mask has two white stripes on the nose piece
- Mask hangs around the neck with a 1" black leather (or similar) strap, with a tab on either side attached by to two clips (same style clips as on bandolier).
Clips are similar in style to German dagger clips.
- Mask has small, knob-like greeblie on left side with silver washer underneath
- Mask has similar, but slightly smaller greeblie on right side with silver washer underneath
-Mask is connected to a hose of same color, and is long enough to hang to left hip. The other end of the hose is either concealed in the hip bag or clasped to the wearer's back, to not be seen.

Optional Details
- None

that sounds like a good start!

for reference screen used mask is:
Hudson RCI Medium Concentration Oxygen Mask style 1041 Adult, Elongated
do we want to include that info, or leave that to the forums and FB build groups?

---

For the mask strap, wasn't there a discussion at one point that we thought it was a scuba strap? (And that look was confirmed by the Hot Toys doll)?

Maybe something like this?

Mask hangs around the neck on a 1" black leather or rubber strap, secured with the same style dagger clips found on the bandolier. Clips are sourced from a Yugoslavian Small Backpack. The strap clips into a tab found on both sides of the mask.

---

Mask is aged to a translucent brown

maybe we go with dyed or colored versus aged because it's a solid/overall color versus an aging or weathering type of effect?

---

The other end of the hose is either concealed in the hip bag or clasped to the wearer's back, to not be seen.

maybe:
The other end of the hose is hidden from view beneath the concho, or concealed in the hip bag.

---

I'm not sure we'd want to make the bag optional. It seems like the bandolier/bag combo is one of the distinctive features of this costume. Without it I feel like we'd have to figure out what to do with the point where the front and back of the bandolier meet at the bottom. If you've ordered the bag for the hooks and shoulder straps you need to create the bandolier, you have the materials you need to do the bag on hand.
Just my 2 cents on that...

So much detail in this build, thanks to everyone who's put in work on this (and sorry for disappearing for so long)!
