You are so much better than I at actually getting from the research to the construction phase. Excited to seeing you create this!
Regarding the discussion we had about the rounded corner of the crown-ring being completely hidden by the front shield, is that what you were referring to by stating the ring needs to be 2cm longer?

Thank you for the compliment. I am actually very surprised how well this project is going and female DRT went. I am also more a researcher than a maker but for some reason, these two battlefront costumes have a higher priority than my four unfinished Rogue One costumes or my two canceled pilot costumes.

Oh, the outer ring/crown also has to be lengthened to completely disappear under the shield but that was not what I meant. This time I actually wanted it to look more like a folded up Rogue One cap. I meant the height or width of the inner and outer ring/crown. My husband’s folded up size 56/57 cap has an inner and outer ring/crown height of 6cm. I wanted my size 54/55 specialist cap to have an inner ring/crown height of 6cm and an outer ring/crown of 5cm. The outer ring/crown is 5 cm but for some reason, the inner ring/crown is only 5.5cm. My cap sits about 2 – 2.5 cm above my ears and feels like I am wearing a Jewish kippah or something like that.

I did some work on the soft pack yesterday. I removed anything that did not fit the look of the game and could not be hidden. This time around I am going to keep most of the rings for the carrying system. I hope to dye the pack this weekend.
I realized that I never posted what I did with the goggles a couple of days before I broke my right wrist in October. I also started to make some connectors for the headband but they are not finished yet.

Are you going to add wooden toggles to close the pouches? I've found with mine that the main flap compartment needs a good closure. _________________ Legion Costume Judge (RAID) 2019- |

Yes, I am planning on adding brown wooden toggle buttons. I did the same for my desert trooper. I want to dye the pack before I add the eyelets and toggle buttons. I might add some hidden snaps to the main flap depending on the flap staying closed or not.

Ralf dyed my soft pack brown while I was sewing imperial officer caps for friends last Sunday.
