I know the TFA/TLJ boots are similar to the ones from ANH, but are they exactly the same type of boot?

Probably rough leather (like the other boots), which have a suede look.

I might be blind (/deploy the garrison) but was the glove omitted from the CRL?

If it was then it shouldn't have been. The glove should be in the standard.

How is everyone doing the belt buckles? Is anyone making them? Maybe just using an RFT buckle? Asking, mainly because I am getting ready to make this costume in time for Celebration (among others), and I'd rather find something I can slap onto the belt, bam, done Smile

did mine with a blank buckle from Tandy Leather....cut corners off, rough sanded it, added aging, looks just like the one in TFA....cost 7 dollars, paint and a little elbow grease....

Well, I thought about that, but the blank buckle is only 2-5/8" wide.... the Luke belt needs to be at least 3", and the buckle is the same width as the belt. I'll probably end up cutting out an octagon from sheet metal, and attach it to a blank buckle.

I just was hoping that someone was making the wider buckles to save some time/effort..... I am looking at making a Crait Luke outfit, 5 X-wing suits/vests, 2 RFT vests, 3 Rebel officer uniforms, an A-wing suit, and an imperial officer uniform, all in time for Celebration, so any shortcuts I can find will be awesome Smile

I'm wondering the same, kinda weird starting a costume, where there is no fixed crl.

I know this hasn’t been touched in a while, but as I’m working on my own costume I wanted to share a note that should be adjusted on the standard.

The belt hook is always present, even after the lightsaber is removed.

The hook seems to be between 2-2.5” away from the buckle, and yes in some shots it is obscured by the trench coat, but here it can clearly be seen after the lightsaber hilt has been removed near the end of the Luke/Kylo duel.

The hook appears to be about 1”-1.25” tall and hangs much higher than OT belt hooks; the “J” bottom curve is just below the bottom of the belt itself, nearly flush, with the hook coming up over the front of the belt itself for 1/3-1/2 of the belt’s height.

If I had to speculate, I would guess it’s something akin to a holster grip hook, just attached upside down.

Not this exact model, but imagine a slightly smoother, silver version of this upside down:

That's a good point. Smile I don't know if this is currently active in the standards forum, but if it is you should make the above comment there, so people working on it sees it.

I am trying to lose weight so I can do this same outfit but with his RotJ saber. In one of the recent comics they show Luke in this same outfit but wielding his RotJ saber.

This was in The Rise of Kylo Ren comic book.

Interesting! Very Happy That offers a new perspective on this costume.
