Just got a helmet kit, and while it has written instructions, i'm more of a visual guy... anyone have the building process photographed by chance?

helps a lot for me to see the pieces go together rather than just read about it...

Good question:

I just got my helmet kit and the accompanying instructions are a little confusing as to what goes where, so if someone has a photo guide of how they put their own together it would be most helpful.

Thanks!

Well I just got 2 Dreadnhaught Kits(one unassembled and one completed)

Here are some photos of putting one helmet together(incomplete) and an internal shot of the internal one.

If you want I can work up some more shots, if that helps

The owner was working overseas and his partner was trying to keep up with the orders.

I have a BIG soft spot for Dreadnaught because they were soooo helpful and generous when I got my helmet; I bartered a Jedi outfit for the assembled/painted helmet. They even threw in a chest box and comm pad. Very Happy

No more Luke paint schemes on helmets. PLEASE!! We have way too many in the Legion now. About 80, that I can see. Mostly because of all the Don Post helmets being used (it seems like half the X-Wing pilots in the Pilot section are using them). And partly because it's a standard paint job offered if you have the people making it paint it for you.

Come up with some more original designs, people! There are some great original designs already out there. It's not that hard to paint a helmet, it just takes some imagination, planning, and careful masking.

I believe that would be up to the individuals paying to have the helmet made, or painted.

If the person wants a Red 5 Helmet, so be it.

I just sent him an e-mail off of the address I had on file. I'll let you know what turns up.

-Edit-

"Hi Erik---
Still make them, still a bit slow on turn-time... Will be
ordering styrene this week and vac-forming a batch of a dozen or so
sometime this month......I accept Paypal now."

Just got that in! I'll PM anyone with his info.

Yea he is back.. it did take about year for mine to show up. He more than made up for it, with a really sweet looking Firefly pistol(Mal's), that was waiting for me when I got back from D*C.

For the record, the paint scheme my helmet is currently sporting is nothing like Red-5, if anything its kinda a blue version of Wedge's. My old Don Post will now sit in a corner of my closet never to see light of day again.. Unless someone wants to take it off my hands and repaint it.

I also have a spare DA helmet that is only partially assembled and a fully painted chest box that I am willing to part with. So send a PM if interested.

Hi, I am in the same boat. I bought a helmet kit from Richies Armor and he did send me written directions, but like mentioned earlier, I am more of a visual guy too. Anyone have a visual tutorial for Richies Armor helmet kits?

I also bought a chest plate kit (which has great instructions) So, I am on my way to my X-Wing Pilot costume!!!

Thanks!
