Very cool, Rob. I'd like to try that sometime. I love to fly. And flying without engine noise sounds very nice.

20 years ago, I used to date a guy who was a pilot. A few times he rented a plane out of Fullerton airport, out here in So Cal, and took me flying. I got to fly it too, and even taxi (didn't know before then that you steer on the ground by using the brakes). The last time we went, I got to take off, too. The only thing I didn't learn how to do was land. I stopped seeing him before I got to try that. Razz

I'd also like to try Dog Fighting, but I don't know if they still do that out of Fullerton or not.
Confused

Maybe it's an experimental, submersible fighter. Could come in handy in Mon Calmari. Laughing

No, in the Carrier Picture, The X-Wing was salvaged, not dumped. That fighter is still proudly serving the Alliance. LOL

I have a follow up scan from the recovery effort, Seems the pilot even left it's R2 Unit down there.

There's just something about old threads that brings out the history geek in me. Also.. was this design ever made into a patch?:

I don't know about a patch (they had a different design for that), but the design you posted was made into T-shirts.
