Was looking at ultra sabers and had a question regarding them.

Are any of the hilts acceptable for Jedi? Or just the ones that don't have "dark" in the name? (It's a totally stupid question, I know, but they're pricey so I want to make sure.)

I think as long as the blade isn't red and the hilt doesn't look super evil, it's approvable.

Thanks! I'm holding off on a purchase until I have my clothing bits concepted and done up, color scheme finalized, before I buy. But I'm keeping an eye on the various vendors I know about as part of planning the overall concept.

I just applied for a generic jedi and bought my first saber from Ultrasabers because of price and what I was going to be using it for...trooping:





I have yet to hear of my application status but stay away from a red blade and you should be fine.

Basically. If you have a red blade that's out. If the hilt has spikes and claws and such that won't work.

So long as it looks like a functional, saber as seen on Jedi you should be fine.

Komari Vosa, Count Dooku, and Asajj Ventress are the only ones I know of. If you have other references do share. (but they we're all dark Jedi and Sith).

Since I don't know who that first one is, there's little chance I could provide other examples. Just confirming that curved is not Jedi approvable. Want to make sure I don't waste my money buying something that will prevent my outfit from getting me in.

One of Dooku's earlier apprentices, who became a dark Jedi / Crime Lord. (Bounty Hunter Video Game).

Correct, without reference curved hilts would be good to avoid.

I use Saberdyne Industries lightsabers made by the Sons of ObiWan in Aus. These two, and a third one which is similar have all been approved.

Ahsoka Tano's later lightsabers (in Rebels) had curved hilts.

True they do have a really subtle curve to them; after she leaves the Jedi Order.
