Hi all,
I Just purchased lekku from a base member who had a twi'lek pams silicone hera lekku and I'm posting here to get some ideas on how best to incorporate the prosthetics with my costume.
I have a repurposed obi that is a similar colour to my tunic and was wondering if I can use it as a head band. it's currently deseamed but that easilly fixed.
Also will I need to have the lumps on the head?
and are the long nails required? |

I recieved the lekku tonight and I also bought some green KRYOLAN face paint.
when I move too much the silicone lekku rides up. what are the recommended attachment method?
EDIT. I am thinking that I could use my old robe (unapproved) annd convert it to an oversized tunic. like so.
tunic
left side
right side
if an LCJ could confirm, do I need to colour match precisely or is the following colour approvable as is.

Those are female Lekku. Make Twi’leks have the big foreheads and extended occipital region as seen on Bib Fortuna and Qin from the Mandalorian. |

Would it be required cause I know there's a few male twi'leks that got approved without it.
Though It could help to keep the lekku I place. Thanks Derricl you're help has been invaluable. _________________

I genuinely don't know if it's going to be a deal breaker. I've also seen a few male Twi'leks approved with female Lekku, but I don't know under what circumstances. |

I've spoken to the DCO of WH 3 years ago about it and she said then that it is not needed. I'm checking with her again to make sure that's still the case _________________

The headband idea. Would a scarf design like this be ok? I'D very much doubt it but thought I'd put it back to peeps that have done it before.

It looks like it's sitting too high up on your neck. You'll need it to cover your hair completely as well as the edge of the lekku. It looks like it's adjustable so you'll want to make it a little wider and tilt it a little more down in the back (up on your forehead) so that it will cover your hair completely. You may want to gel that hair upwards before putting on your lekku if it keeps wanting to poke out. |
