Ooh, I'll definitely be interested in that U-wing pilot helmet!

For sanding, do you have a random orbit electric sander? I found that one of those helped me a lot when sanding large areas on my dark trooper armor. Mine has variable speeds so it comes in pretty handy.

I have several sander options, I go with a mouse sander, then use a pen or detail sander, but honestly, I get the best results by hand. It sucks but 120, 180, 220 and I am good to go. As soon as a part comes off the printer I sand away, it helps to reduce the feeling of how much sanding to do.

I will update t e U Wing thread as soon as I lay the mold. I should be able to do that this weekend hopefully.
