I found some great leather for the boot cuffs. What did you use for backing for your boot cuffs? It seams like they will be too flimsy without using some sort of backing. _________________

It is a 1.5 - 2 mm thick foam called "Moosgummi" that comes in DIN A3 297 x 420 mm sheets. I was not able to find an Englishtranslation for it. I think it is similar to 1 mm or 2 mm thick EVA foam sheets/mats. _________________ RIAD GRRRL-Squad-Leader 2019-present

I'm going to guess it would translate as "closed cell foam". _________________ Legion Costuming Judge: Officers, Rebel Supporters

The progress on your boots cuffs looks good. _________________ RIAD GRRRL-Squad-Leader 2019-present

I enlarged the belt loops to accommodate the PLCE belt.
Now I need to sew the flares on to the belt. Can a judge let me know if I am supposed to have the pull tab on the buckle or not? If I don't need it, I was thinking of cutting it off to use for the flares. _________________

I am not a costume judge but I studied the references a lot. The pull tap webbing is missing on Cassian Andor's, Private Weems' and the pathfinder's roll pin buckles, so I am of an opinion that it needs to be removed. _________________ RIAD GRRRL-Squad-Leader 2019-present

That seems to be the consensus. I've removed it. _________________

Sorry! I've been working on costume standards drafts so just saw this. I agree with Patricia, and you've made the choice I would have recommended. _________________ Legion Costuming Judge: Officers, Rebel Supporters

My shirt is done. Now I'm just waiting on the jacket I ordered 3 months ago.

Will this belt, holster combination work for a Yavin Operations Officer?

It looks like my Magnoli jacket is too long. Will this pass? Or do I need to alter it and make it shorter?

I think your jacket is a little bit longer than it looks on Cassian and the other officers but should be OK for approval. I am not a judge so that is only my personal opinion.
The CS only states that you should use an "Era-appropriate Alliance used sidearm and holster such as A180 Pistol, BlasTech DH-17, BlasTech DL-44". It does not specify the look a holster should have. I think your holster looks very Star Warsy so it should be fine.
I am not sure about your shirt. I cannot see a seam at the bottom but it might be right above the belt and not visible to me. The CS says the following: "Front has a rectangular bib with seams on the bottom and both sides which (recommended) continue down to bottom of hem." _________________ RIAD GRRRL-Squad-Leader 2019-present

The blaster and holster look great, the jacket is a bit long, but not in a way that noticeably takes away from the overall look. Personally, I would be ok with it. The shirt you will want to add the horizontal seams. I would suggest using a double needle or running two parallel seams in order to mimic the finish seen on the refs. Here's the shirt Empathy has been working on- yours looks like it has the opening on the one side, so you'd just need the horizontal seam and the one extending down vertically on the other. (She used snap tape to fasten the side, just like the ref so that's what the white bit is. Obviously that is optional.)
