Clone Trooper, Episode II Soldier (Phase I)

Required Items:

  1. Black Undersuit
    >One or two piece black undersuit. Commonly used components include sports compression wear, warm-up suits, dance unitards, or diveskins. Undersuit must be smooth in appearance or with vertical ribbing with no labels or logos visible once the armor is on.
  2. Black Gloves
    >Black over the wrist gloves made of leather, nylon, or other low pile fabrics. Gloves must not show any labels or logos once the armor is on and cover any exposed skin.
  3. Neck Seal
    >Neck seal to be black in color with vertical ribbing or being smooth in appearance. No logos or labels are to be visible. If the seal is not incorporated as part of the undersuit, a balaclava or other similar covering is acceptable.
  4. Helmet
    >Episode 2 style Clone Helmet - Fanmade bucket. Some "name brand" helmets may be unacceptable.
    >Visor - Mirrored/Chrome or Black Visor
    >Helmet Fin on dome
    >Rear fin needs a brake light cover installed.
    >6 Primer Grey Vents on each side of helmet cheeks
    >Helmet frown is charcoal grey in color. Wire or plastic mesh is utilized inside the helmet to cover the open pieces of the frown.
    >Primer grey stripe around back of dome.
    >Ear holes may be painted light grey or remain white.
  5. Armor
    (1) Chest
    >Two detail slots on right breast.
    >Chest and back plate should match together at the sides with no gap, just a seam line.

    (1) Back
    >Chest and back plate should match together at the sides with no gap, just a seam line.

    (2) Shoulders

    (2) Shoulder Straps
    > Correct shape with ridges.

    (2) Upper Arms
    >Front/back pieces are seamless.

    (2) Forearms
    >Front/back pieces are seamless.

    (2) Elbows
    >Two detail slots on the outside area of both elbow pieces.

    (2) Elbow Straps

    (2) Handplates

    (1) AB plate
    >Four 1/4" diameter holes per side on indents of ab plate, eight holes total.

    (1) Kidney/Lower Back Piece

    (1) Butt Plate

    (1) Cod piece

    (2) Upper thighs
    > Front/back pieces are seamless.

    (2) Knees
    > Detail clip with slots on each side of both knees.

    (2) Knee Straps
    > Correct shape with center portion of both knee straps raised and primer grey.

    (2) Lower Legs
    > Front/back pieces are seamless on outside seam as minimum requirement.

    (1) Compad on Right forearm

    - All armor should be matte white or satin white (NO GLOSS).
    - Armor does not have to be weathered. If weathering is preferred, black wash is an example of an acceptable weathering technique.
    - No obvious, visible rivets.

  6. Belt
    > 8 boxes total, 4 on each side of abdomen
    > Detonator is centered on the back
  7. Boots
    > White, ankle high or tall enough to cover the ankle and eliminate any black undersuit visible at the ankle area in armor. Boots must be lace-less and have flat soles. The boots have armor detail to include a natural seam at the toe and a strap that goes over the top of the foot with two protruding disks at each side of the strap. There should be no markings or labels from the shoe makers.

These costume elements are in addition to the required list of costume parts and are optional. This list provides costuming options that increase the level of accuracy of the costume and give a costumer ideas to consider for improvement.

  1. Seamless lower legs (inside and outside) with spoon-style insert or ankle trap. Fabric trap doors are not acceptable.
  2. Correct vertical ribbed undersuit.
  3. Correct vertical ribbed neck seal.
  4. Limit or eliminate the use of metallic silver weathering.
  5. Button detail on the side of the butt and cod armor where these pieces attach to each other.
  6. Rear fin light to be lit. Light is steady, does not blink, and is composed of 3 LEDs.
  7. Back plate detail kit.

Elements listed as acceptable here may not be traditionally associated with a costume, but are not so unreasonable as to detract from it. Please keep in mind that the following items may not be allowed at certain canon/high profile appearances.

  1. DC15 Short Rifle
  2. DC15 Long Rifle
