I’ve been thinking of trying a pilot around my Mon Calamari pieces, and came across this handsome chappie:

Probably a well-enough known deleted scene from Return of the Jedi. Well, this particular piscine pilot even has his own action figure:

(Look at him, he’s so happy!)

Anyway, in seriousness, is there any indication available on whether or not he would be in principle clearable without attempting that bizarre looking helmet? Near as I can tell, the only essential part which would be lacking would be the leather gauntlets (the Mon Cal ‘flippers’ in place of them). The mini-flares would conceivably fulfil the one formal extra?

Yeah, you'd be just fine without the helmet, a helmet isn't required for approval. You'd just need the Mon Calamari head and the hands for the alien portion of it, and then the A-wing pilot part would need to meet or surpass the current standards.

(Also, don't use laced shoes like on the action figure. Razz )
