Just wanting to check and see if the clip could be used to hold a lightsaber on a belt. Would it be approvable?

That looks like a good and secure version of Luke's clip.
Don't know if the judges want the exact on-screen one

I’ve seen it cited as an all right clip for generic Jedi at the very least.

It does look very secure, but doesn't look like the tool hooks used in the OT belts.



You can get one like Luke, Ben Etc use in the OT at most hardware stores. That would be preferable for an approved costume (or the covertec PT style as well).

I agree... some judges may sometimes let the others slip through here and there, but I wouldn't count on it. Generally speaking, to be sure, you'll want the accurate clips shown in Michael's post above (they're not expensive, and not hard to find) or the CoverTec clips (or whichever is applicable, if doing a face character jedi).
