I am having to redo my Jedi Costume, and I am thinking of either a Healer style or maybe historian style. However, I am terrible at finding the information for these, and the right material for the costume. What would you suggest, and maybe there should be a list of what was used so others can branch off of that.

By historian, do you mean Jocasta Nu? http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/jocastanu/img/eu_bg.jpg

If so, I believe I was the first to make the costume. I have a tutorial. What we've learned since the FIDM exhibit is the markings on her tabbards and obi are embroidered.

In a sense, but something that is more common for a man to wear. But in the same sense. Might be a varient off of hers with a few similarities.

Nice to see you Tia Lin. I have been a member for some time just never got around to posting. But as far as healing powers go, it is not my stong point.

Seever: it would make sense to do the tabbards and obi with the patterns but just wear trousers instead of a skirt. You could vary the colors. Dark tunic with light colored pattern lines.

I agree with you Jedi Kia. I would only make sense. But can't you make it with a skirt. Or does it depend on the design of the tabbards? Who can heal a emotional wound?

I'm going for a more "battlefield" medic/healer look, as opposed to one who might work in the Jedi Medical Corp back on Coruscant. Definetly less "traditional" jedi, and much more practical (no tabbard, double belt, long sleeves or excess of pouches). A much more practical garb for field work.

Kate, what did you have in mind for your costume?

I would think a battlefield healer wouldn't want those hanging loose sleeves... perhaps full sleeves that are tight at the wrists...

I know I'm coming late to this discussion, but a healer costume interests me... anyone have new pictures in the last few months?

I've just finished my Jedi Healer costume for Dragon*Con. I've taken the one sentence in the Jedi Apprentice and made standard Jedi tunics in light blue. No photos yet.

re: Battlefield Jedi Healer...there are book cover images of Barriss in her jumpsuit which is what she seems to have worn as a battlefield medic.

I'm reading that book now actually, and met the artist at CIV. 200 pages into and I haven't gotten to any battle scene yet where she is wearing said ensemble. So far she is wearing her standard cloak and skirt......well and that one scene where she is doing "yoga" naked Shocked

But if I run across any details of that I will let you know....there is a second book also in the series.

And if anyone is interested in doing Jedi healer/medic/etc, I would recommend the Medstar series, its well written and a good read!

I've read one of the Medstar series. I hadn't made a healer's garb yet. One day I may.

Hi everyone, I am sorry for coming in late into the discussion.
I have just been approved as a generic Healer Jedi. My outfit is all in various shades of dark blue.
