Ok. I've been putting this off because of the cost. I'm diving in. I can't sew to save my life. So It's over the counter for me. Hopefully I can do this mostly over the counter.

Pants on order from Magnoli
https://www.magnoliclothiers.com/military-trousers-pants-p-345.html

Gloves on order from Magnoli
https://www.magnoliclothiers.com/falcon-gloves-p-271.html

Belt on order from Magnoli
https://www.magnoliclothiers.com/falcon-belt-belts-straps-p-849.html

Shirt on order from Magnoli
https://www.magnoliclothiers.com/falcon-shirt-shirts-p-343.html

I have a vest from Amazon. Will this work?I used it for cosplay.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014EUYZ0W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Haven't ordered any boots yet. Haven't ordered a belt/holster or blaster yet
I'll take any suggestions you guys have for those items. Also, if that vest doesn't work, where can I get one that does that doesn't break the already broken bank. Thanks

Also, I've noticed belts with holsters all over amazon. Do any of those qualify or are they all cheap crap?

The Costume Base vest is ... not great. Also missing some details, and the fabric is a shiny polyester. Given that you're spending a fair amount on top shelf Magnoli gear for most of the rest of it, I'd spend a little bit more and get a vest from Todd's Costumes instead. You can recoup $10 of the difference by getting your belt from Todd's, too, instead of Magnoli's. $40 more seems a small price to pay for vastly better, IMO.

Boots depend on budget. Want a starter set? The Ovation Derby riding boots on Amazon are PVC, and give the right impression, as long as they fit you. Otherwise, there's only a few good options. Best, and cheapest option is to haunt eBay and Etsy and cross your fingers for a nice set of good black riding boots in your size and the the right style pop up. They do, on occasion. But you need to be patient. Very patient. And/or lucky. Some wear the Soviet boots. Not 100% sure a judge will approve them, but I believe I've heard they will, even though they're not really the right style. At least they're tall black and leather, even if the foot is not the right style and the leather is way soft. Real replica period boots are the next step up, from companies like Hessen Antiques or Mux Leather. Go Mux if you have any doubt on the sizing, because the style requires fairly slender calves... or full custom boots.

Amazon holsters are mostly crap. There's a guy here in SoCal that does a very decent holster for a pretty reasonable price. PM me if you're interested.

Any halfway decent wig can be made to work if you have it styled and cut by a professional... about the cost of a regular salon haircut.

I would stray away from amazon for the holster. You spent a fair deal on the trousers etc; a complimenting holster will go a long way!

There are plenty of holster makers out there (todds, anovos (used), fanfictionprops, hdc cosplay, myself, MP, etc) , and Todd's also offers a great OT one. Honestly, the differences in hardware alone on his vs amazon holsters is a world of difference.

For boots, you can score vintage ones from time to time in the correct mens sizing on eBay and the like, but Todds and magnoli would be my go to for new ones.

Best of luck!

Here's the shirt from Magnoli. I gotta say, this shirt feels amazing. Super nice material. I like the fit. I heard they run small. I wear a large and ordered a large and it fits great. The second pic has a vest for reference but I know that vest will not be approvable. The shirt is my first item for my costume and I'm really happy with it.

I really like Magnoli's ANH shirt. Agreed, they're so comfy! Looks like you have the right fit.

Magnoli belt arrived. Good quality belt. It's a little more weathered than I thought it would be but I'm alright with that.

The amazon greeblies. I painted over the black curly designs. You can still see them though. Wonder if these will pass until I get something else.

Here's the gloves from Magnoli. They are light cream color. I'll need to oil them to get them to the color I want. Super nice soft gloves though.

Here's the vest from Todd's Costumes. It's a large and just barley fits. A large is big on me in most everything else. Second pic is the fit.

Vest looks good. They're supposed to be quite form fitting, and WAY smaller than you'd think, since they're supposed to hit above the gun belt so you can actually see the belt and the stuff on it.
