I painted the square pouches yesterday. The dark brown color looks very good. I still have to paint the back of the pouches. The belt should be finished by Saturday.

I finished painting the square pouches and I glued the scope together. The belt is now finished.

I painted the cylindric pouch yesterday because I did not like the color difference between it and the square pouches. It looks a lot better now. I put the leather I made it from underneath to show the difference.

I worked on my hooded jacket yesterday. I took out the zipper and removed the stretchy stuff on the bottom hem. I also moved the pockets further up so that they do not get covered by the pants. Last I shorted the sleeves and added longer cuffs. Unfortunately, the cuffs need to be redone because they are too short. They keep slipping out of the gloves. I had to order extra fabric for the cuffs because I ran out of leftover fabric.

My husband bought a 20mm plastic pipe this week. We will be making the thin removable barrel for the Nerf blaster this week.

My husband did more spray painting yesterday. He used MTN Ebony Brown for the soft pack greeblies and MTN Coffee Brown fort the wrist-com and rank badge. The wrist-com and rank badge are too light they need to be darker. I have to order a darker brown form MTN for them, but I am not sure which one I should get. The color chart is not much help because the colors do not look the same in reality. Ebony Brown looks almost black, and Coffee Brown is less dark than the chart in fact.

I might have to create some stylized greeblies for the softpack. The top greeblie in the reference has the same shape as the Scouttrooper nose, but it has fewer details.

The blaster is coming together piece by piece. I should get the 3d-printed parts for the stock in about two weeks.

Here are the links to the files of the 3D-printed parts that I am using to convert my nerf blaster to an A-280 CFE blaster rifle. They are all on www.thingiverse.com.

I was able to finish the gaiters a couple of days ago. I am still waiting for the new rank badge and the parts for the blaster stock.

I just saw that I forgot to post that I finished the jacket about a week ago. I ordered two other shades of dark brown for the rank badge and wrist-com on Saturday. They are called Condola Brown and Chocolate Brown. I hope that one of them is the correct color.

I am going to start making my first mock-up of the cap as soon as my BF1 female desert trooper is finished. I have some tan fabric from the pants left that I want to use.

I was also thinking about how to add the details of the goggles and how to make the more stylized backpack greeblies. I am probably going to use Worbla but I not a hundred percent sure yet.

I did not find a good dark brown canvas for the soft pack. All of the fabrics were either too thin, too thick or the wrong color, so I decided to order a CZ M60 backpack. It arrived yesterday but I have to wash it a couple of times before I can dye it dark brown and the other features it needs because it stinks.

I also ordered some Worbla that I am going to use to make the disk greeblies of my BF1 female desert rebel trooper helmet. It should be enough to also make the strap connectors and blue greeblies of the goggles. I hope it is enough to also make more accurate softpack greeblies.

Be careful to keep things cold when washing those Czech backpacks. Apparently they can shrink a LOT!

A friend washed and dried his in hot water (and hot dryer setting) and now it looks like he has one of those mini purse backpacks! LOL

Thanks for the warning, kman. We washed the first softpack at 30°C because we thought it might shrink a little bit if we wash it too warm. We were not aware that it might shrink that much if we wash it hot. So dying the second soft pack at 60°C in the washing machine is out of the question. I guess we will have to dye it in a bucket. Here is the dye we bought. We have never dyed anything before. I hope it works out.

I received the rest of the 3D-printed items. The 50mm x 50mm rank badge looks tiny. I think I am going to use the larger one instead.

Here are some photos of the stock parts. They are not glued on yet. I just stuck them together for the photos.

My husband painted the blaster this week. He tried to get as close to the reference as possible.

I finished my first atempt at making a TRS cap. I used Jaro Krieg's Scarif Marine cap pattern as the base and went from there. It is a good start but there are a few things that I have to adjust. I need to find a different material for the bill/visor and the shield. The material that I used for my husbands cap was too thick and my sewing machine could not transport it correctly. The other material is too soft. The crown/ring has to be wider. I think I have to add about 2cm so that it comes closer to my ears.
